Oh no! I've had that happen to me too! Unfortunately, your hair is very fragile. The best advice I can give you is to go to your local salon and ask the hair tech there. If your hair is normal ( meaning not fried), I would wait a week or 2. There are some products that your hair tech can offer to get rid of the color, but your best bet is to ask a professional. They usually don't charge anything for a simple question. I am a cosmetologist, but mostly do makeup and nails. If you have any more questions, feel free to e-mail me at Autumn_Anne@yahoo.com . Good luck dear!

If the color you used is darker than the color you wanted you should have a professional take care of it.

You should wait about a week or two. You should also try to deep condition your hair inbetween dying it & then again after you dye it the second time, to help prevent your hair from drying out.

it should be OK to redo it in about 4-6 weeks, but the same thing happened to me about 4 months ago and i could not find out what to do until my grandma told me to put tomato juice on my hair when it is dry leave it there for 10 min. or so the wash it out. it's takes all of any coloration and puts it back to It's normal color.
it worked for me and hopefully if you try it it will for you too.

you would like to go to a salon and strip that color of your hair first before dyeing another color ontop. Just get some suggestion from hairstylist in any salon.

Is it too dark or too light? If you were lightening your hair it will be harsher on it than darkening. If you want it darker I would go ahead and do it again just super moisturize it after if you want it lighter still I would wait a while or go to a salon and explain to them and they can watch it more closely while they do the job so it doesn't get over done.

Go back to your natural color and then start over. If you color over it, it wil look to dark or light
