I was a firefighter in the Army in the 60's, at Fort Lewis, WA. So, I still have a strong prejudice against the Army. The Air Force guys at McChord were true pros, and that is still in my mind.

Yes, Navy has the best firefighters, but if you are in the AF, and slip, you don't end up in 5,000 feet of water.

My son-in-law and daughter served in AF, and lived much like civilians. Navy, you are on a ship most of the time.

The Air Force, Army, and Marines have the same firefighting training. It's in San Angelo, TX on Goodfellow AFB. I can't say about the Navy.

As for the EMT license, you could do it for free at a community college using tuition assistance in any branch if they don't send you.
