Seems like the imported beer here is weaker than in its country is this true??

There is a limit on how much alcohol is permitted in beer in the US. Therefore they must lower the alocholic content in order to export it to here.

For example, in the Philippines they have a beer called Red Horse. Over there it is labeled Strong Beer. It is exported to the US in its' original form but must be labeled "malt liquor" here because there is too much alcohol for it to be called "beer".

Yes, a lot weaker. If you ever get the chance, try real German beer and you'll see.

Yes, we Americans are bound by law to pasteurize our beer.

when Labott " ICE " first came out...we brought some back from Canada and got...well.....wasted.....

when we bought it in the US.....it was just like regular beer.....

we found out it had almost DOUBLE the alcohol content if you bought it in Canada...!!

not all beers are exported.... so I'll bet they keep the good stuff at home.

some companies brew them depending to the market they are targeting.......
