I'm 5 foot five, and in the pat two months I've gone from being about 115 pounds to being 108 pounds. I'm not trying to loose weight, but I've noticed I'm just not hungry at all anymore, and I don't know why. I really think this is going to become a serious problem if I don't get it under control. I'm also going to become a vegan, which will limit what I will be able to eat.
The only thing I can think of that may be causing my weight loss is that I went on Prozac a few months ago....but other than that, I have no idea.

I know 108 for 5 foot 5 isn't that bad or that skinny, but I don't want to loose anymore weight because I don't want to look like a stick!

See ur Doc. immediately. This is not a simple problem with ur computer to fix asking people on the Internet. This is ur health and losing weight so rapidly calls for immediate medical attention.
All the best....

Medications can deifinately cause you to change your eating habits.
I took an antidepressant called Celexa a few years ago. I went from 118 lbs. to 155 pounds in 4 months! My Dr. kept saying that it wasn't the Celexa, but couldn't tell me why I was gaining weight when I had always been a solid 118 lbs. Finally, I stopped the Celexa, and slowly started to loose the weight.
But, my system has never been the same. I now still weigh more than I want to.
Since that time, I have met probably 6-8 different people who had the same drastic weight gain after starting on Celexa.

EAT EAT EAT!!!!!! I gained 12 pounds in one month I have no clue how I did that cause I was only 92 or 93 pounds than I went all the way up to 103 or 104 pounds I one month I guess its from me eating a lot but I also lose a lot of Calories every day from being active. So my advice to you is start eating but not TOO much, and start becoming less active but don't become a COUCH POTATOE.

Antidepressants can cause weight loss. The increased seratonin in your body can make you feel satisfied despite not having eaten. Pay attention to your body, try to eat three full, healthy meals. If you are female, 108 pounds at 5ft5 is not terrible. Watch your weight more another month or so and if you lose more talk to your physician. She may want to switch your medication. Some antidepressants, like Lexapro, are more likely to cause weight gain than loss.

Talk to the Dr. that prescribed the Prozac. It could just be a temporary problem since you just started the meds. Or it could be a side effect of what reason you were put on the meds. I can only presume it was for depression....and alot of people lose weight when they get depressed. Once the meds have you stabilized and your body has adjusted to it, you might start gaining weight again.

All medications have side effects and are bad for you. You cannot expect to be on drugs (meds) and not have problems. 40% of medications are for the side effects of others so you just need another med for this new problem. Blood pressure meds make many impotent.
This is good business for drug companies. Thousands of MDs put millions of people on Vioxx but they took it off the market for killling people. Tell your doc and he may try something other than Prozac. Then when the new one gives you another problem you will... This will be your life.
But see this website under depression with info by MDs on how diet can make a huge difference in this. Plus an uplifting, inspirational story of someone with depression worse than you (on 3 meds for it).

The best way to find out is to get yourself to the nearest hospital & get some tests done - the least to put your mind at ease.
You could be going through stress. Stress symptoms include restlessness, sleep difficulty, loss of appetite, etc. Although I don't think being a vegan is going to improve your condition any further.

Get off the prozac, why become a vegan and then pump yourself full of prescription drugs MAKES NO SENSE.
Eat Organic Beans and Rice, check out Wolfgang Puck Soups.

Work out and build muscle... muscle is denser than fat, so it takes less volume of muscle to gain weight.... and it might also help gain back your appetite.... also, 108 for 5 ft doesn't sound bad at all!
