Did your husband catch the 11 pounder? If so, congratulations!
Ebay would be the place to sell it after it is mounted. Investitgate
past sales of your item, take three or so pictures, set a price and write a description that includes where, when and how (ie tackle used) the fish was caught. Many businesses are interested in purchasing fish, etc that are nicely mounted. You may also want to consider having a fiberglass 'copy' of the fish made. It will last longer.

Shame on your husband! A 11 pound bass is a rare animal and should have been released. The only way to ensure bass for the future is to let all bass even the big ones go.

Unless your husband is a fisherman that catches double digit bass all the time (and very few are)... he should have it mounted. 11 pounds is something to be pretty proud of. Personally, I wouldn't buy one that someone else caught.... but I have a few of my own on the wall... to include three double digit bass.

I am a taxidermist from southeast ohio. I would say definitely mount and keep it. I have a 4 and a half pounder that im gonna mount for myself. Its really worth it. Why would you decide to sell it? Let me know at catfishrod69@yahoo.com if you want to get rid of it. And the guy that said fillet and eat it, DO NOT listen to him, thats so stupid to ruin something that nice of a prize. thanks

NOT A WHOLE BUNCH OF PEOPLE WANT TO MOUNT A FISH THEY DIDNT CATCH THEMSELVES. THERES NO STORY BEHIND IT. WHAT CAN THEY SAY ABOUT IT WHEN THE GUY ARE DRINKING AND PLAYING POKER? "HEY GEORGE THATS A NICE FISH, TELL US HOW YOU GOT IT?" "YEA MIKE, I BOUGHT IT FROM SOME DUDE CAUSE I COULDNT CATCH ONE MYSELF" THEY COULD ALWAYS LIE BUT THEN THEYD KNOW IN THEIR HEAD HOW THEY GOT STILL.
