I don't. It won't change anything. And I pay enough out of my paycheck. I want a decent livable income too. I'm not wealthy.
And my schools and taxes want more. And I have many American friends. I am an American Citizen. Follow the laws of this country or leave.
Many of us struggle just to live here now . And I have a right to say "Me First". I have paid into America plenty for a long time now. American needs to look out for those who belong here and how it affects us first.
Agee or Not agree?

I do not agree. They don't side with amnesty.
I think most Mexican Americans feel they earned their citizenship and so should the others or they should leave.
This is what I have heard from the GROWN UPS.
Some of the kids playing in here I don't think know how to wipe their own butts yet to have an intelligent conversation.

It has been written that those who do not understand history are doomed to repeat it.

I add when a movement's time has come, there is no way to stop it without a large loss of life. An example, in 1789, it was apparent that the time had come to eliminate slavery. But, lazy jerks in the Southern Colonies WHO DID NOT EVEN KNOW HOW TO BUTTON UP THEIR PANTS BECAUSE SLAVES DID THAT SORT OF THING resisted, and to save the Union, slavery was continued.

76 years later, this nation had nearly half a million combat deaths getting rid of slavery.

That is the way it always is.

The time has come to let the willing Mexican workers into this nation. I know this, because seven million of them are already here.

And, some milliions fo them were brought here as small children, and have no more capacity to go live in Mexico than most of you. They don't know anyone there; they don't have the capacity to earn a living; they have no where to go.

We are on the brink of our own holocaust if we don't stop being stupid about this.

And, if the INS starts going into certain neighborhoods to drag off people who have lived here almot their entire life, there may well be large amounts of gunfire, and I don't blame them.

Hannity says they should wait in line, that to come in without applying is unfair to those who filed and got papers. Hey, Sean, good job, dummy. If all those 7 million had applied in 1835 at the siege of the Alamo, at current admissionrates, they still would not be here.

Actually, I do wish all the illegals would go to Mexico. All you fat lazy folks would get a taste of a major depression and wide spread hunger. Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't. I am Mexican, and I am against Amnesty, but not for your reasons. Actually, I disagree with your reasons. Many americans are unaware that the vast majority of illegal immigrants pay taxes in the US, and don't get to make use of the benefits. So actually, strange as it sounds, your benefits are in some way incremented by illegal immigrants.

That said, it is not OK for illegal immigrants to be in the US. They got there illegally, and giving them amnesty simply sends the wrong message. You would be saying that it is OK to break the law, and if you are patient, you will eventually become a citizen. Becoming a citizen for people that do it the legal way is a HUGE ordeal. That is not fair.

I am American Hispanic as well.

I don't begrudge any illegal for coming here for a better life. You may never admit it, but they contribute more than they take...I am for amnesty for those who are willing to assimilate and learn English.

Of course, I pay more taxes every year, but trust me, it really has nothing to do with illegals, but more with a greedy govt. out of control and spending more and more money on wars and pork. More than half the budget is spent on defense......Isn't that a bit too much? Truth is they have no accountability to the public and will continue to spend irresponsibly, in the guise that it is for defending our country. Give me a break....

Agree. What gets me going is how when you look at it, the Senate and the President on down lie to change America into something it's not - a third world country with no soveriengty or abolishing our self-ruling government.

I think there's some fence- sitters out there that haven't fully 'left' mexico, and maybe got their citizenship with the aim of stepping on said fence so the rest of the family can come through, maybe the whole neighborhood/town etc...I say we need the border fence and better enforcement...protect americans and lawful immigrants...there's 6.5 billion people on earth, they can't all live in america...congress needs to get off its' fat hiney and do its' job...

Polls of Hispanics on illegal immigration usually show a majority of Hispanics consider it a problem (see a Pew poll about a year ago).

Here is another: "Among whites in the survey, 78 percent agreed that illegal immigrants were a “burden,” and so did 47 percent of Hispanics. "

It is a problem-that many will not face. Many barely make enough now. It hurts other.
But no one wants to hear that-the heart strings goes both ways.
Hurt to help- it just never made sense too me. It is wrong. Take care of ours first.
