the coca cola elves alter the syrup @ night when the factory workers have left.
They use Santas sleigh to get around the world, on every day bar christmas.
Thats why coke drunk on christmas day always tastes somehow different!

Supposedly they have 2 factories. One that makes the brown syrup and the other makes the fizz. Then those 2 products are mixed so each plant only knows 1/2 the recipe and the plant that mixes them just sees the 2 mix but doesn't know what's in them.
They say the only few people that know the recipe never ride on the same plane or in the same car. And that the recipe is kept in a safe with guards all around it.
I don't think anyone really cares what the recipe is, the ingredients are listed on the can, but the 'mystery' around it is an advertising gimmick.

We recently visited a Cocal Cola factory in Japan, and it is true that the syrup is shipped in and then water added before canning/bottling.
The tour was really quite interesting, and we came out with free drinks and goodies!!

They send the formula premixed to the factories who just add the water etc.No person at any of the factories knows the exact formula so they cannot sell it to a competitor !

Being that French Canadians put ketchup on everything including steak I'd have to say NO Pepsi in the National drink of Quebec & Pepsi is an old slang term for a French Canadian Did you know Pepsi is a Frenchman's bellywash because that's what *they* say it is.

Had no idea they still considered that secret, especially since the formula for Coke has supposedly been printed in a couple of books.

actually the sugar content varies from region to region, too. asian coke hasa most sugar, than american, than european. no idea about african, though the nigerian imported coke you can buy in dublin tastes different to me than the regular stuff. anyway, either the sugar is not part of the secret formula, or there are at least three...
