I Timothy 2:11-14 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

Ephesians 5:22-24 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

THE VERY CONFUSING VERSE..
I Corinthians 11:4-7 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

BUT it also says
Genesis 5:1-2

In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created

Titus 2:3-5

The older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things— that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.

The first verse is speaking to a specific audience. It was written because the women in that church were interupting the reading of scripture.

The second verse is taken out of context quite often. If you look, he also speaks to men in the next couple verses. Husband and wives are supposed to be team. They each have things to contribute and if they love and honor each other, it makes the marriage much easier.

I Corinthian 11: doesn't degrade women at all. In fact, for those that say that woment must be silent in church, I use this verse, because It says, "but every woman that prayeth or prophesieth" it doesn't say if.

These verses were written by men yes, but inspired by God. When read in context they make a whole lot more sense. Jesus doesn't show favoritism.

There are plenty of other sciptures that show how women ministered to Jesus. They were the first at his ressurection, they told the disciples of Jesus' ressurection, they prepared his body after the crucifixion. They were intrical parts of His life.

The Bible doesn't discriminate, only those that interpret it.

No. In Gods eyes there is no gender issue.

The references you use have the intent of order. Without order there is confusion and chaos. A woman should not interupt her husband in a teaching session but wait till they are home to ask him to explain his view, or to give him her view.

God also told the husband to care for his wife as God cares for him. It is a two way action. Plus, being submissive is a choice not a command (a want to not a have to).

I think if you do a bit more research on the message of the passages you chose you will come out with a very different concept of what they truly mean.

The Christian god belittles women, but then again the Christian god is an effigy of the real God, created by men. Paul, who composed almost all the NT and edited the little bit he didn't write, was a misogynist and closeted homosexual who had an unhealthy fear of women. He tried and mostly succeeded in undoing the gender equality Jesus had attempted to establish.

Men are the head of house, but there is more to it then that, God also told men to love thier wives as Jesus loved the church. Jesus died for the church, Jesus washed peoples feet. there is so much not understood when it comes to men and women, and men just say well im the boss, but that is not the whole truth.

generations of men have edited the popularly known king james version of the bible. king james himself had some parts removed. it is a shame they don't teach the actual process the bible has gone through in bible school. jesus most certainly did not degrade women, but held even "the women of the night" to be as equal as anyone else. as a pagan, i find the concept that god degrades women a little creepy.

Clearly you are quoting The King James version of The Bible.........please find another version, King James himself wanted to degrade women and re-wrote certain passages to suit his own purposes. This has been proven countless times and because of it most religions have stopped using the King James.

No , He does not . You are being very selective in the Scriptures you have chosen .That is what's wrong with people , they choose whatever Scriptures suit them and twist them to their advantage . Look further and you will find that God gives woman the same respect as men
