Well, if you stop they will shoot you anyway and if you run they will get the speed camera out and you will be done for speeding as well!

well most people would stop, some would run. Those that ran are idiots because, they will ALWAYS get caught. No matter how fast or how far they can run. There are helicopters and dogs and tasers and all sorts of things to be used by officers these days. You just get in worse trouble for running. But, an officer cannot shoot you in the back so you won't get shot if you decided to run. you would just be dumb....

Well, duh, STOP! Running implies guilt - the policeman on the end of that gun is a human, and he is going to think the worst of you. If he has told you to stop, and feels you are a threat if you run, you stop. This isn't the movies, you're not the action hero - he will hit you when he shoots, and your chances of survival with no serious injury are VERY slim.

Why would you run anyway, surely you are innocent?

**** .... id stop ..... people are constantly defending JEAN CHARLES DE MENEZES ..and attacking the police .. !! he had a bloody gun pointed at him for gods sake ... in such an unsure time in London every one was a potential suspect.. he should have just stopped ... very stupid for him to try to run .... he paid the price though.

R.I.P X

stop or you would be dead...just like what happened to that Brazilian in London during the terror attacks on the railways (7-7)

run if you want to its up to you if its a UK copper the rules of engagement state that if you committing or about to commit an act likely to endanger human life they can not use deadly force (shot you) but bear in mind if they truly believe you are a suicide bomber they'll blow you away and they are aloud to do that but they have to justify it in court

I think the likelihood of me getting myself into such a scenario is about as likely as the moon is made of cheddar cheese...but I would stop....

Anyone with any sense would do what they're told. It's far easier to have the dirt dusted off you than to have it shovelled onto you.
