I think Jesus would send born-again Christian George Bush directly to Hell. Do not pass go. Do not receive forgiveness.
Go directly to Hell - and don't come back. -RKO-
P.S. The Pope declared the invasion immoral because it IS. It was an illegal, unconstitutional invasion of another sovereign nation that in now way threatened, provoked or attacked the United States. Had Hussein invaded the U.S., we certainly would have pronounced it "evil" and "immoral". What makes you think that the U.S.A. is so superior it can bully the rest of the world as it damn well pleases?
Why do you think other nations are suddenly considering their own nuclear weapons of mass destruction as a defense against the planet's newest 'evil empire' - bully Bush and the U.S.A.?
Why do we defend our actions as honorable when they are nothing less than despicable? We invaded Iraq for two reasons: Bush wanted to 'finish' what his daddy started during Desert Storm, and 2) LimpDick Cheney wants all the OIL that's swimming underneath Iraq's sands so he and his buddies at Exxon-Mobil can get richer and richer and richer.
Prediction: There will be NO TROOP WITHDRAWALS from Iraq until Cheney has a rock-solid, iron-clad arrangements in place to get all of that OIL (with the full cooperation, of course, of the new Iraqi government which he helped install).
Question: If we really are intent to spread democracy around the world, why aren't we invading every other dictatorship run by some lunatic despot? Because they have no OIL. So, we allow the genocide to continue unabated.
Prediction: Bush will illegally invade Iran as soon as he can figure out a plausible excuse that he thinks his gullible conservative base will "buy" (he already knows weapons of mass destruction won't "sell"). Why invade Iran? Same reason: OIL. It has nothing to do with promoting democracy and freedoms for all mankind. It's all about money and OIL.

Innocent? Iraq innocent? I was against the war in Iraq but Iraq is not a victim of any kind. Saddam had it coming, I just think we should have been more patient in dealing with the issues and waited on the UN. The invasion was immoral, but so are 90% of all military actions or politics for that matter. So in short, I agree that we didn't go about it the right way, I just wish we would invade some of the more evil countries with REALLY bad leaders, or even North Korea who actually poses a freakin' threat of some kind.

Jesus would think Bush is a jerk, too. However, Iraq was maybe innocent in 9/11. But Sadaam was Daddy Bush's unfinished business. 9/11 was an excuse.
Maybe Jesus would say "Hey, go find Osama instead of looking for new countries to attack."

What would Jesus think of 9/11? Al Qaida? The Taliban? All the people who kill and torture in the name of Allah? I think Jesus would believe that Bush had good intentions to get rid of the evil and give these people back the right to live...the right to freedom. Why is it okay for people to live in fear unless you are one of Saddam's cronies. What about women...they can't even decide what is for dinner without being punished. Unfortunately its not easy - in the U.S. everyone supported it but when it got tough - everyone changed their mind. Well you can't do that once you start - thats why we have soldiers and not civilians fighting the war.

I think Jesus is very proud that President Bush went into Iraq and got the ruthless maniac madman Saddam out of power, which means he can no longer kill his own innocent people.

I don't know. I am not Jesus and don't feel comfortable answering for him. I don't know why the Pope called it immoral, I am not Catholic.

This is what Jesus had to say about war and peace:
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. (Matt. 5:9)

Good question.....
People don't call yourselves Christians and promote this war. Jesus did not endorse wars, or even politics. He rebuked those who wanted to fix Israel's political problems. He came to address issues of the heart, not controlling the world....
