Wow..your avatar does look like Howard Stern!

Anyway, I don't get all this "third date" stuff. Maybe I'm old school, but it was always my understanding that it was sweet if a guy bought a woman flowers anytime, including date numero uno! However, I do agree with some of the other answers. You must be careful about the type of flowers you get for her, how their presented and how many you choose.

1. If you're going for the sexy aspect: There is nothing sexier then a man showing up to the door with a single rose. NOT RED! Red is too intimate (especially if it's a 1st date.) Pink, white, not yellow, yellow symbolizes friendship.

2. If you want the sweet aspect: A sweet image would be a guy showing up with a 1/2 dozen flowers. If you are going for the 1/2 dozen, NO ROSES!! A nice arrangement of wildflowers, sunflowers or carnations will serve a lot better. Roses don't really say "sweet." They make a stronger statement. Since it's your third date..I'd go with this one!

Whatever you do, just make sure you're sending the right message. You don't want to scare her off with the message that you're coming on too strong. A woman loves flowers at any time, as long as it's done in good taste!

Best Wishes!

Make sure you do these very important things before presenting her with flowers.

1. Wait until all mourners leave the cemetery and the grave is filled.

2. When choosing flowers, avoid lilies and floral arrangements in the shape of a clock with the hands set upon the hour the person died are also to be strenuously avoided.

3. Get them in water...quickly.

4. Before presenting them to your true love, be sure to remove the ribbon that says "Mother" or "Father" or "World's Greatest (fill in the blank) beforehand.

Good luck.

Depends on the girl. I know most women love flowers, but some would be happy with a small token instead of a large quantity of flowers. Remember also flowers have meanings, red for love, yellow friendship, and so on, ask your local florist, and if you are giving flowers, show her you know what they mean. Always nice to send a sweet note too!

well every girl is different but if this is your third date i guess she must quite like you so it could be quite sweet.but dont do it too often cos then it wont be sweet it will just be tradition.or do you know if you want to impress her you could do something like take her on a special personal date or get her something more personal maybe like something she used to like when she was little, that would make a way bigger impact as flower wither but memories dont.

sorry if i got a bit carried away there, i realise now a simple yes or no would have worked!lol!

It's all about what kind of flowers and how much of them. A nice small bouquet of mixed summer flowers is perfect for a 3rd date I think. I wouldn't do anything big or do roses at this point.

Good Luck!!

women think , that he is real sweet and is a gentleman, but what they do not know is that real early in the relationship , they have not met the real man yet, just his representative.

Don't overdo it. When you pick her up for the third date, just have a little bunch of "pink" roses wrapped in paper. No big, fru-fru arrangement. That would be freaky....

I would wonder about him. However, my last male friend brought me flowers to cheer me up during a bitter divorce.
