You may wanna try some ancient history text.
There's one military man turn historian name Jospehate (I think I spell his name wrongly), he wrote a great length on someone who was hang (Jesus) and how the temple of destroyed, and how the 1000 Madasa defenders hold more than 60,000 roman soldier for more than 2 yrs etc.
It is interesting text. More so when some of those are parellel to the bible events.
