Try putting the phone back together, super glue if you have to. You're right, it IS crazy - I know many parents that are afraid of their kids when they become teenagers. Or you could just tell your parents that you would have felt better if their punishment was to tell you that you could no longer have a phone instead of telling you that you are a serial killer. Maybe tell them you only murder phones not people.

P.S. I'm a Mom, I have a son that tears everything apart, and he puts it back together. It's good, he can fix almost anything.

Everyone knows that the Goofy Phone is a government conspiracy to get teenagers to tear them apart to scare the parents.

I think it's kind of funny that they think you want to kill them because you destroyed a phone. I don't know - get them some flowers, give each of them a big hug and kiss, and then go break the next inanimate object that annoys you. Or just give it to someone else who might find it useful, and can get it out of your hair.

Go here and print out this intellectually sophisticated article chockful of footnotes on the deconstruction of Walt Disney--
http://www.arasite.org/skelldis.htm
I'm sure you can find other, better stuff too...
Then, show it to your parents and tell them you are working on an extra credit project for social studies class or art class or whatever and that the phone is part of the presentation!
I hope they leave you alone about it after that!
Good luck kiddo!

just tell them it was making weird noises and needed the batteries replaced so you took it apart.

i do think tha's crazy that your parents would think you may kill them in your sleep, but if that's true, your family is going to need some councelling cause tha's just an excuse for an underlying non trust issue in your family.

omg that is crazy! u have to prove it to them some how. try to convince them that ur not a psycho killer who will kill them in their sleep. tell them that u were gettin tired of the noise it was makin so u took it apart. and then maybe suggest a family therapist to convince them and help them from bein so crazy.

They're freaking out for no good reason. Just tell them that the thing was getting on your nerves and you didn't want to throw it away, you just wanted it to shut up, so you broke it! They're such worry warts!

Just tell them that, if that doesn't work then start doing something that they tell you to do that you don't normally do. Like clean up your room or whatever it is, they will see it and forget about the other, impress them. Good luck.
