Is bitting my inner lips a serious mental problem?

You do that to? I do this all the time. Ever sence I can remember ive been doing that.. I really go after the left side and a little on the right side to. HeII I even do it in my sleep!!! Do you know what I think your problem is? Your like me a Nutcase!! That's just one of the many things i do that ain't to smart. And YES you have a real bad mental problem. That would be a sign of anxiety.Anyway, only a psychiatrist is the right person to establish if there is a problem and prescribe medication in such case.

My dad did it and it became big and he had to get it cut out. Find something else to chew, may be Trident gum instead of your inner lip.

i do this too, and i have an anxiety disorder.
how do you feel emotionally when you're biting your innner lip?
if you're upset or worried when you're doing it then it may be a nervous habit similar to nail-biting. it just saves time to bite the inside of your mouh. hehehe
if you are upset when you're doing this you may want to discuss this with your doctor.

It might be anxiety. I do it when I get stressed out.
It might not be SERIOUS. But just a little anxiety.
