My grandmother (bless her heart) is very into the left behind series.

She has actually written "instructions" and left videos planted all around her house, so that when she is raptured, anyone left will know what to do.

She "hopes" this happens very soon. What can you do, I love my granny!

First of all, the spirit of the person called Jesus over 2000 yrs. ago has already been here again, more that once, and is now...different names, different purposes of experience...just like you. There are similar prophets among us at this time, but you are more than likely being told not to listen, just as those of his previous time did.

You also have no right to alter anyone's life plans...for any reason...not even knowing your own, you surely do not know theirs.

No, I believe that Jesus is always with me so there should be no need to alter my life plans.

I think one of the reasons God doesn't tell us when the time will be is because we aren't supposed to worry over that. It drains us to live in fear, and living in fear is not what He calls us to do.

Mark 13:32-37 used to really bother me because I thought it meant hypervigillance. We had to watch at all times. We couldn't even sleep. But of course we have to sleep. The idea is not that the Master expected that His servants would not ever rest in His absence, but that they could not expect to rest until He came and rush around at His coming to be prepared for His arrival. They needed to continue serving His household and have it prepared, so at His coming, they needed only to awake and welcome Him.

It's like the difference between doing the small things daily to keep one's house in order so that you can welcome unexpected guests, and having to do a mad dash to hide everything that's out of order when someone shows up at your door unexpectedly.

As Christians we are to live our lives, not in a mad rush, but in a disciplined way that leads us to preparedness.

The things He wants to find us doing are the things we should do as a matter of course in our service to Him.

We don't know when the hour is. Leave that in His hands and trust Him with it. Just live your life growing into the man He wants you to be. He will equip you to be that man. He will prepare you for His coming.

Each day, do the best you can do. That is enough.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:34
