LMAO. You mean we're not supposed to do that? I have no clue why some women do this. I was only able to BF for two months with both my babies. I didn't like BF'ing in public but I would if I had too. Babes deserve to eat when they are hungry.

The sentiment toward breastfeeding has swung back and forth so many times. When I had my boys 23 years ago not many were breastfeeding and I had a really hard time even though I was very discrete I even retired to the bedroom to feed in my own home if we had any guests and always used a blanket in public. I still got some very rude comments. Today there seems to be too much pressure the other way making mom's who opt for formula feel like the scum of the earth. It is just not fair either way the way women choose to feed their baby is a very personal and private choice. I wish people could just be more supportive either way and get off their soap boxes. (Yikes I hope this doesn't should like I am one one).

I breastfed my daughter for a year. I can honestly say that I never "pranced around and flashed my boobs" I always tried to find a private location to feed my daughter. Sometimes there wasn't always the greatest accomodation available. For the most part, I stayed home, because I was able to. Not all moms can or want to do that. It is not about "flashing their boobs", but feeding their child. If they are out in public, and their baby gets hungry, and there is nowhere available to do it in private, they should feed their baby, no matter what others think. Most breastfeeding mothers I know have been very, very discreet even in public.

Most breastfeeding mums i know are as discreet as possible.
I have three children. My 10 yr old i bf for less then 1 month and was then bottle feed, my 8 yr old again bf for less than 2 months then bottle feed and my youngest being 10&1/2 months old is still breastfeed. I personally don't flash my boobs around as i find that inapropirate and patron saint of motherhood I CERTAINLY AM NOT!
Your generalisation of breastfeeders is i feel offensive and generally untrue !!!!

Why is it that a man can walk around without his shirt on and that be ok but a woman can't expose part of her breast to feed her baby? I don't quite think I will understand how that can be wrong. If it is offending, turn your head. Being a mother that breastfed, my thoughts were on the needs of my child and not of those who might catch a glimpse..... ADDED IN RESPONSE...Since your question didn't involve children, I didn't answer in respect to the child aspect. Firstly, I don't have to flash my whole breast in order to feed my child, I have seen shirts that are more revealing than a mother breast feeding her baby. Secondly, why post a question when it is obvious you are only posting to bash others and their way of life? I feel for the women who can't breast feed because I could, then I couldn't. It is very hard. But for someone like you to act in such a rude and judgemental manner for those of us who are blessed to have "baby boobs" have some respect!!! And lastly, sorry to point it out to you but your nephews have probably already seen more boob exposed by women in public and on TV than us mothers who breast feed! GROW UP!

wow...sounds like someone got their mommy underwear up too tight....I am a breastfeeding mother...and I don't prance around and flash my **** to just anyone....GOD I HAVE RESPECT for my body and myself and others. I think my chest is to be shared by my fiance and my child while she is being fed. But I think for sure you just don't get the attention so you gotta be jealous over all the women who do get the attention for feeding their child or children. You shouldn't go there....I don't think I'm better than anyone. I'm more self conscious about my body. So I'd rephrase my question if I was you...not all of us are like what your saying.

Oh, please! I breastfeed and nobody sees my boobs except for those within the walls of my own home. Nor do I ever see that in public. Everyone I know who breastfeed are so discreet that you wouldn't even know it if you didn't know them.
Chill out and let the babies eat in peace!

LOL

I don't know about flashing their boobs around, but I do know that many of them (definatly not all of them) think they are soooooo perfect because they breastfeed. It's REALLY frustrating for the moms who can't breastfeed.

Because we ARE goddesses!! We care about our babies enough to feed them the best at any cost. We don't settle for inferior nutrition. That's what a mother is all about sweetheart, and don't you forget it.
