we worship Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ. Jehovah is the Almighty God who created all things. so what is your question? no we are not a cult. a cult worships a mere man who tells you what to do. we worship Jehovah, we are not brainwashed either. woundedduck. that is a lie, we go to the dentist and doctor and take great care of our families. do you?? no we would not take blood, even if I was not a witness I would never take blood, they can check it all they want. how many times you read in the paper they had to threw the blood out because it was not good.

I disagree with JW on certain views. But, they have contributed a lot of good to the community. Consider the following:
1) They have shown love not only among themselves, but to others as well. They help people understand that God is not biased for or against any nationality or skin color. Consequently, they are color blind ( skin wise, that is)
2) They led good moral lives
3) They have helped many do away with pagan beliefs such as the trinity, immortal soul / hell fire, etc.
4) They have greatly enriched jurisprudence by their strict neutratlity and use of blood issue.

But my question to JW's witnesses is this: Are you not over-stretching the prohibition against the use of blood ( Acts 15:29)
by prohibiting even the use of its major components (plasma, red cell, etc). Did not Jesus say that the laws of God are designed not to harm us but for our own good? (Compare Mark 2:23-28)

I understand that many have benefitted from avoiding transfusion of whole blood. ( Some have even faked they are JW's just to avoid transfusion )
But, really, what about major blood components?
