Well you'll need photographic ID to get aboard a plane, but a driving licence would do.

Assuming your from GB, Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland you do not need passport to travel within the British Isles.

I have been to both Northern and Southern Ireland and i was never required to provide a passport until after 9/11 and 7/7, I was surprised how thestrict the security was and I was at that time asked for my passport. However, as it's part of the United Kingdom, just some form of ID would be enough. It's also a great place to visit, good luck.

it is an marvelous one. In theory, no you do not - you do not even want one to pass to the Republic of eire because we've the "trouble-free shuttle section" (passport loose zone). the certainty is particularly different, travelling by using boat you do not want identity, flying with Easyjet or FlyBe you want "perfect" image identity (FlyBe have a list on their website, Easyjet do not) yet some thing like an identity card from a nationally recognized employer or a using licence might want to be perfect. Ryanair, for his or her own causes which aren't from now on making any experience, insist on a passport for each adventure - even between airports interior of a similar united states of america.

no

you may need photo id to get there though.

last time i went to eire, i didnt show my passport. the UK and Ireland have agreements in place for that sort of thing. NI is in the UK so it isnt even going abroad, but airlines like to see ID

no for some strange reason the provisional licence is not accepted as identification here in northern ireland if you have a passport use that instead but you dont need it to come in to the country. the funny thing is that they will accept a full licence. thats the irish for you

It depends on which nationality you are. You didn't state. If you are an American, heading to Northern Ireland from London, or a Londoner heading to Northern Ireland is different!

No you don't. One of the guys I used to work with is from Northern Ireland, and he and his english girlfriend never had to show their passports whenever they went to visit his parents in Belfast.
