A female cat moved in on us and we found out she was pregnant.
She had her kittens and was still nursing. Was told we had to wait until she was through nursing before spaying her. Guess what? She was already pregnant when we took her into the vet and the kittens were only 8 wks.

Well I think you already learned the part of, she is able to get pregnant sooner than 6 months! I think you need to keep her in, as in inside, and not give in to her crying/whining to be let out. For unless you have male cats in your house, that aren't neutered, there is no way then she can get pregnant. Then after she is done with having this litter, I say, run, do not walk back to the vet. and get her spayed! This is taking its toll on her, and for her health and lifespan, she needs to be spayed as soon as possible! You are kind to let her in and have her be pregnant, have kittens and even go through another litter..........however, no matter what your circumstances(I know how it is, kids home, other animals, in and out, the door is open and closed,,,)you want to be responsible and take good care of her, now that she has adopted you!!! Good luck! Enjoy those kittens, bet they're adorable! :)

As soon as those kittens are weaned the mother can go right back into heat again. I would have got her spayed at 6 weeks.
That's why its so important to spay and neuter pets.. their reproductiion rate can become out of control and there aren't enough homes for all the animals that are born as it is.

I honestly have a kitten. PLEASE TAKE MY suggestion. My guy gave me one from his muddle. She changed into 2 mon after I were given her. SHE IS SO undesirable! She claws me and bites. I honestly have had her about a month now and he or she has been biting a lot less yet more durable. If she stayed with her mom longer her mom might want to have taught her more effective...yet however her mom does no longer artwork jointly with human beings. perchance the mummy taught her to be undesirable ... both way i imagine 8 weeks is a few distance too youthful! She knows a thanks to apply the muddle field and each and every thing. She is too rowdy and that i must yell for her to understand to end biting. If I grab her, she thinks i'm playing. She changed into no longer even weaned at 8 weeks! Grrr 12 weeks is the minimum

Get her spayed now. Yes she will lose the kits but what is better, letting them be born and learn about life, then be put to death in a 'shelter'. or just ending it now before they know anything. DO IT NOW.
PLEASE, think of the long run.... it is a greater loss to have known a good life and be killed because there just arent enough people to keep all the kittens and pups... THAT is the GREATER pain! Each year, 15 MILLION animals are deliberately killed. Animals that have no reason to be killed, they are cute, gentle and healthy, but no one wants them. I have seen hundreds of them killed and it just eats at my soul.. their eyes, pleading, "dont kill me, " I"m so afraid, why do you not want to love me???" faces.... they KNOW that they are going to die.

It is just too much for me to bear, it needs to be that way for ALL of the ones who have animals that are fertile. PLEASE SPAY & NEUTER!
(there are many ways to get the $ to do it, just ask a vet or your local shelter who does reduced cost spaying and neutering.. there IS financial help available for you who are on fixed incomes or seniors...

(some seniors can get have it done free!! - if you know a senior, ask them if they wont use their name on the animal and it can be fixed for nothing and you and the animal are both happy)

a female cat can go into heat as soon as she had not nursed a kitten for 3 days that is why some toms kill kittens to force the heat

Most animals can get pregnant soon after birth (including humans! Lots of new moms go to the OB for their 6 week post partum checkup pregnant with baby #2). keep the cat crated after the next litter is born. If she can't get to the toms she cant get pregnant.

Yep, in summer, they are kitten machines.
They go into heat a few hours after they have kittens. Then again a month later.
If you need help paying for her to be spayed, contact your local SPCA or animal control, they have programs to help.

i have believe it or not 7 cats for the same reason as your question states. I finally kept her in the house and at the first chance took her to the vets.
Cats can actually conceive whilst they are pregnant with a litter.. amazing eh but can be a problem to the owners .....

Cats are "induced ovulators" which means that can go and go and go. When a male copulates with the female, it "induces" ovulation and the vicious cycle of continuous pregnancy goes on and on and on.
