I'm from LA, and I'm here in Toronto for the summer and don't really know what there is to do. I've gone to the CN tower and Niagara falls. Does anybody out there have any other suggestions? (Also I'm planning on goin to Caribana which is in a few weeks.) Thank you all in advance.

If you go to Paramount Canada's Wonderland....whatever you do, DO NOT BUY food in the park, its soooo expensive ( like 10 to 15.00 for a poor quality meal). Just get a hand stamp, exit the park, walk across the road and theres a subway, a mcdonalds, cafes, coffee shops, pizza stores, wendies and lots of other food places to go to. You'll save money big time and get a break from the crazyness of the park. Bring your own water and drinks because bottle's of pop and water are like 2.25- 3.00 a bottle. Wonderland also has a waterpark thats included with your park admission.( I beleive its been a while since I've been there)

Go to the Vaughn Mills Mall. Its the seccond bigest mall in Canada. Its down the street from Canada's Wonderland.
It take's forever to walk through but this time of year there's lots of sales because this time of year everything's on sale.

Under the downtown area is a large shopping center complex that connects most businesses downtown called PATH, it all leads to the Eaton Center which is realy cool.

There is the worlds largest bookstore ...

If you dont mind hanging out with gay people, there is Church Street which has the gay village ... this is where the show Queer as Folk was filmed and is a pretty relaxed fun place to go.

You could always go to Legoland....

Hope this helps :)

-Paramount Canada's Wonderland
- the Beaches (Queen St E)
-Center Island (ferry ride over from Toronto is cheap and the view of the city is great)
-Ontario Place
-CNE in mid-August
-Black Creek
-shopping: Eaton Center, Scarboro Town Center, Fairview, Vaughn Mills, Bloor Street, Holt Renfrew, Queen St W
-Yorkville (you'll even see some stars walking around)
-China Town, Little Italy, Corso Italia, Greek Village
-Distillery District
-Skydome (now the Rogers Center)
-Air CAnada Center
-for clubs/pubs try Richmond and Peter St and surrounding area as there are loads of places to party it up
-there are also plays/theatres in this area
-outside of Toronto accessible by bus or train: Wasaga Beach, Grand Bend, St Marie among the Hurons (Indian Village)
There are TONS of things to do...too many to list...don't listen to those people who make rude comments because they obviously haven't visited all the right spots. www.toronto.com for all attractions and things going on. For the record, I'd like to correct all the misunderstandings of weather in Canada..or better yet in T.O. Toronto has long fantastic summers...sunny and warm that run well into late Sept (followed by Indian Summer); springs with sunshine and some rainy days full of tulips; winters where it snows at Christmas just like it should; and autumns that start just at the right time of the year (around Halloween) with lots of golden leaves and cooler days. And on those hot days when we do get a little smog coming over the lake from the USA , city officials find ways of keeping everyone cool with air conditioned locations where you can hang out and keep healthy til the USA cuts out on their industrial waste and stops sending it to their neighbors to the north!
