If he can't then your prayer is worthless, as is your god. Come on. Rise to my challenge.

I agree with the first 4 answers.

If you do not really want to know God, then your are mocking Him and He will not answer (at least for good).
If you are sincere, ask Him to reveal Himself to you (read the Bible and look and ask that you can see His truth there also).

What possible reason would God or (g)od have for answering your prayer to convince you of something you have already prejudiced in your mind and heart against the evidence that is already there for anyone to see. In your arrogant ignorance you think your enlightened mind radiates the light of an illuminated soul but the truth is you do not want there to be a God because you would then be accountable to a moral standard from a transcendent being you would rather did not exist. I can tell you how to get your prayers answered if you can tell be the logic behind the reasoning that holds the right to judge the existence of God without a basis for making a judgment at all. If there is a right and wrong, which by your question you are inferring that there is then their must be a moral lawgiver. So without the rightful basis for asking the inquiry or "challenge" in the first place your verbal flatulence falls apart. What then is your real question Einstein.

We pray for the unsaved all the time. Just becuase a prayer isn;t answered as we want it to be doesn;t meant that it isn't answered. God will hear your prayer. If you Admit you are a sinner, Believe Jesus as God and the SOn of God, died on a cross, rose on the thrid day to defeat death and Call upon Jesus to Save you, he will. And thus an answered prayer that you yourself gave. But if you give it without believing then you never really prayed in the first place.

The only thing the Lord says to test Him on is tithing, if you give He will bless you for it.

You are already convinced that their is God and that He is greater than you. You know that you can get to Him by prayer.

However you CHOOSE not to accept Him as your Lord. To confess with your mouth your sins and believe in your heart that He is Lord.

God is a gentlemen, He will not force someone, that would go against His own Word. He says that we are all given a choice, He even gives us the answer - it's a no brainer really....

"I set before you life and death.... choose life"

Ok, I love a challenge!!
No 1, No, God does not answer all prayers, Why not?
There is a specific way to pray, and the bible tells us what that way is: Matthew chapter 6:9 tells us, You must pray then this way, [address God] either as Father or Jehovah, [his name] [then make your petition known] such as May your kingdom come, may your will take place in heaven and on earth. Forgive us for our failings, for we have many, help me be a forgiving person,
help me to love people by telling them about you, please watch over those who's health is failing, those who are having problems, Give me and my family what we need. I say this prayer in the name of your son, Jesus Christ amen.
Jehovah is greater than all of us, so we should seek out and learn about his kingdom, learn how he loves us; Romans 13: 10 Love does not work evil to one's neighbor, therefore love is the law's [Mosiac law] fulfillment ; Romans 1: 20 says, For his invisible [qualities] are clearly seen from the world's creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power, and Godship so that they are inexcusible.; 21 because although they knew God, the did not glorify him as God nor did they thank him, but they became empty-headed in their reasonings and their unintelligent heart became darkened.22 Although, asserting they were wise, they became foolish. 23 and turned the glory of the incorruptible God into something like the image of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed creatures and creeping things. I can convince you of nothing, hopefully, I have taught you something, and in gaining knowlege, you convince yourself

I have a suggestion. You should read The Bible.....According to Mark Twain. It's a very humorous book and it can help put some light on some of the things in religion people don't really understand. Just always keep an open mind. All of you!

If this comes true my prayer has been answered. If not, I am a fool. You are correct that if God exists He will convince you and we will find out on that day.

I suggest you begin by becoming aware that GOD is not something or someone separate from WHO you are.....

God is HOW you are able to BE you.
WHO you are while you are BEING you, is your free will.

GOD is TRUTH, LOVE, JOY...
Cannot be proven or disproven.

Tangible is temporary/imaginary.... your body is WHAT you are IN, not WHO you are.

Ask yourself, "What would LOVE do now?" and be the best version of that you can be.....

Blessings to you,
You have your answer.

Why don't you rise to your own challenge and read the Bible while asking God to reveal himself to you?

2006-07-22 12:34:00 · answer #9 · answered by drg5609 6 · 0 0

you asking this out of spite....you are challenging God with the belief that he is not capable (that is equal to mocking) and he will never come down to your level... only if you truly ask from your heart will He come to you
