hello i locked my keys in my ford ranger how can i get them out without calling a service guy?

IF IT IS A 96 OR NEWER YOU CAN CALL YOUR LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP WITH THE VIN # OFF THE VEHICLE AND THEY CAN CUT YOU A KEY.....MIGHT NEED PROOF OF OWNERSHIP......AND A COPY OF YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE

as having much experience with getting keys out of cars, there are a couple of things

1. if there is a push button for the door locks, get a slim yet firm rod of some sort. with your hands flat on the window, try to slide it down some to insert the rod in through between the window and the door, and use it to push the button to unlock the door.

2. Use a hanger, and straighten it out with a little U shape in the end of it, slip it in between the window and door beside the handle, were the lock is, down in there is a trigger you will have to either push or pull up on with the hanger's U end. You will be able to tell when you are on it because the lock tab in the door will wiggle too.

Good luck, these are the only two ways I have found that worked for me.

You need to get a wire - about the length or a wire coat hanger but it is almost too thick. But they work - it is just harder. Now slide the wire down in front of the door inbetween the window & the door - oh first you have to make a hook in the wire - slide that part down between the where the window goes down in the door. the locking mec. is usually down there by the door handle. You just have to slide it down at the end by the hood & work your way over, & find the lock, you can feel it, & just pull up. It is kinda hard at first, but it doesn't take that long, & once you get the hang of it it is quite easy to locate & unlock. It has worked for me every time! I do it alot for different people. & myself everyonce in a while, & it beats havin to pay someone else to do it!!! Good luck!!

bust the window out , then get your keys out and unlock the door. Then on Monday call a glass replacement company to fix the window! oh wait , you might be better off calling a locksmith.

get your self a piece of banding strap the springy kind used for pallets and cut a L shape in the bottom then slide it between the window and glass and try to hook the lock rod
