when I get a new kitten I give the kitty plenty of time to watch me and to see that I'm not gonna hurt her/him. I set up a feeding time schedule, keep the kitty box clean daily. Eventually the kitty will see you as their "Mom" and will warm up to you. Also make sure that you take the time to really NOTICE your cat. I went over to these people's house once and their cats were just totally STARVED for attention. I don't even think those idiots ever notice the cats. The put a huge bin of dry kibbles out and a huge bowl of water so that their interraction with their cats is to a minimum. We are constantly saying hi to our 4 cats.. Petting them.. Comforting them.. Playing with them with toys.. Keeping their minds active. Our four monsters are our children..not just bumps on a log

Feed the kitty and make it feel comfortable and pet the kitty and make the kitty feel at home.
Congratulations on your kitty. They are so great! Even when they grow up to be cats.

Just like the saying about men...Food is a way to a man's heart. Feed your kitty and use treats and give her time. Cats need to feel you out first.

Your kitten will eventually bond with you if you treat it gently and with love. Do not force your attention on him/her but pet often or stroke gently. Play with your kitten and speak softly. Feed the kitty and always have plenty of fresh water and a nice soft bed. Do not scold the kitten for accidents, instead, provide a litter box from the beginning and keep it always clean. Your kitten will love his surroundings and care you provide for him and in turn love you unconditionally.

u can't make your kitty like u. u have to earn it's respect and love. cat's are mistrusting but very nosy, so try playing with your cat. doesn't have to be expensive toys. anything that moves a cat will play with. e.g. wool, string, ping pong ball, toy mouse etc. make sure it gets fed regularily and at the same times everyday so it'll know when to come and annoy you for it's food. also calling it alot so it gets used to your voice and it's new name. fuss it alot also. invite it onto your lap. hope u get on well with kitty. p.s. i have 3 cats.

You need to play with the kitten. If you do not have toys for her (or him, but we always tend to think of kittens as hers) yet, find some string to play with. Try getting her to sleep with you at night. Give her treats as rewards. You can train cats. They are smarter than dogs, but more stubborn. When she wants to be left alone, let her be, then she won't resent you. Even though you do all those things, there is no guarantee your kitten will like you. They are peculiar animals that are still a mystery to psychoanalyze.

Have a Vet's opinion, they know better what to do or have your kitty trained by a professional cat trainer, it would help a lot.

Well first things first, let her get used to the surroundings if she/he's new to the house. Also, cats can be vey picky(at least mine are), and each have their favorite type of toy and food. For example, my Birman loves her fake mice, and my other cat loves balled up pieces of foil. They both love to eat Friskies ocean fish flavour. Experiment with things, and don't forget to pet when they want to be peted, and don't walk in on them when they're using the litter. They hate that.
