I'm here in Iraq now. The American Military isn't getting their butt beat. If you haven't realized, this war is being run by the war opponents and the president's enemies. The president no longer has the balls to make a decision for himself. So now, the military is on a tight leash. This has become a "politically correct" war. They have to operate with "rules of war", where the insurgents don't. The upper military management doesn't want to embarrass the president and all his people in the white house. We would be out of here already had they established a zero tolerance rule for Iraq. You can't win a war with the soldier's hands tied behind their back. The other problem over here is the news media. They are constantly following the military, interfering with missions, and then the soldiers have to protect the media in case of attack. Have you noticed all the negative stuff about the military in the news lately? I promise you haven't heard ANYTHING positive in a long time. I hope you understand what I mean now.........

I doubt very much that the U.S. military is getting beat on the field of battle. Any time the U.S. military and the Iraqi insurgency go head-to-head, the U.S. military is almost surely going to come out on top. They are well-trained, well-equipped, and well-supported.

There are calls to bring home the U.S. military, but that is mostly coming from civilian leaders, not the military. Some portion of the military does want to come home, but that's because duty in Iraq is unpleasant and keeps them away from home. It is not because the American military feels they are being beaten in Iraq.

It's kind of like 2 men getting into a fight in a bar, a big man and a little man. The big man can clearly get the upper hand, pummeling the little man into a bloody pulp, but the little man keeps getting up and coming back for more punishment. Every once in a while, the little man might land a soft punch on the big man's arm. After a while, the big man gets bored and tired of having his clothes dirtied, so he walks away. Does that mean the little man beat the big man's butt?

I hope Fr Chuck doesn't spew those same lies of his from behind the pulpit! It's people like you, Falwell and Robertson who give Christianity a bad name! You're so blinded by your love of Bush that you can't see that God is not blessing us in this monumental follie of a war. I pray for the safety of our troops but God never blesses a lie. No American, worth his salt ,wishes to see any of our troops die. Do you honestly believe an American life is more valuable than an Iraqi's? I believe that we're all precious in the Lord's sight and by bringing al-qaeda into Iraq, we've done the Iraqis a grave injustice. 100 civilians a day wouldn't be targetted and dying if WE had not started this mess. It's now only a question of when, not if, we pull out.

Listen you freaking idiot, instead of blaming the military how about pointing the finger at the government who put us into the war. Also, in 2003 we did kick *** when we were fighting the war that we were asked to fight. If you can remember Rumsfield said that there would be no insurgency. Next time before you talk a bunch of bullshit about the service members of this country you should realize that the sole reason you and I can be on this sight typing what ever we want is because of those people your disrespecting.

First they are not getting beat, most of the terror attacks now are on thier own iraq people. And we are doing lots of great work there, rebuiding most of their nation.

But of course the problem we were not allowed to fight a real war, too many in the US prefer our soldiers to die, instead of some civilians, Our troops are almost scared to shoot back because they don't want to be arrested for murder.

We needed to fight the war like Isreal has done so far with Lebonan. Hit alot harder and level areas to they give up.

When engaged in a stand up fight the US won every battle against the Iraqi armed forces and the insurgents, it's the shooting from in a crowd of civilians and leaving bombs on the side of roads that we have a harder time fighting against.

Because we are a good, humanitarian people. We do not set out to kill anyone in sight - women, children, elderly. If our military were not being careful to avoid collateral damage, this would have been overwith on day 1.
