I can tell you this. From my 20 years service, the experience of seeing my wife waiting for me was the best feeling in the world. Husbands couldn't sleep the night before coming home, which we referred to as "channel fever". Good luck to both of you.

Sometimes it is.. When is a prolong deployment that feeling is not there anymore... At the time he gets home I am so exhausted of the House and all the kids that the feeling is a relieved because I needed him, not missed him.. Hard to explain.. I guess is like when you are tired and get on bed feels like the best mattress and pillow, but when you haven't slept in a day or two you are too dang tired to fall asleep.
That is the feeling I get, when he is just gone for too long :(

It was amazing to see him again. It seemed almost to good to be true to have him standing in front of me safe and sound. The first few hours were awkward though but then after that it was like..."oh, it's still us". It was like we hadn't been apart. The best part was when he came home for good though. Very emotional but such a relief!

yes it is.
My husband was in the Army. Now that he's out here in the world we are never apart more than we have to be. We have been known to drop everything but work to be together. We work different shifts now and if he gets some time I have been known to drop a date with girlfriends to have lunch with him. I love my Vet husband!

I was a husband in the Army, and seeing our wife was a pretty good feeling too. I would have to say it gose both ways.

Yes, it's one of those feelings that rank in the top 5. I love those first couple of nights...it's like a honeymoon feeling you know....like cloud 9. And not too mention the instant stress relief of having him home and safe.

If your husband left the military, you could see him everyday

I love it. Watching the kids run towards him is great. 4 months and he is gone again. But we always survive.
