You have to go to the Otogar bus station. All companies are there. The best is Varan. Travel by night.

Prefer plane from istanbul to izmir airport (Adnan Menderes Airport).
By bus it takes about 7-8 hours.there are many companies; ulusoy, varan, boss, pamukkale, kamil koç.

It is a long way travelling from Istanbul to Bodrum, I think you should better try to get a flight which is around 80 USD one way.
