How would you feel if you were one of the two? Israel didn't ask for this. They were goaded into this war. Just for the record, I am German/Hungarian -- not Jewish.

This is so typical.....blame Israel instead of looking at the cause of the conflict: TERRORISM!

Your anger should be directed at Hezbollah. Do they care that their actions have brought this on? Do THEY care about the Lebanese people?

If you actually think this is about 2 soldiers being kidnapped, then you are crazy. Not only were 2 soldiers kidnapped, but 6 others were killed, and Hezbollah launched rockets randomly into Israel. And then, and only then, did Israel react. You need to put the blame where it belongs, not on a country simply trying to exist.

Ummmmm...NO! Especially when it is not the Lebanese that kidnapped the soldiers. Israel's enemy in this is the Iranian and Syrian militant group that occupies Southern Lebanon. If they would like to kill 300 of them for the two soldiers, so be it. But not the innocent Lebanese civilians! They are an innocent bystander in this.

Soldiers are expected to die or be captured during a war. It is not a war crime to capture or kill soldiers during a war.

It is, however, a crime for a country to murder innocent civilians, whether there is a war or not.

If Israel is "justified" in attacking Lebanon because to of its army's soldiers were captured, then how much more is the United States justified in attacking Israel because of Israel's attack on the USS Liberty in 1967?

For that matter, the United States is justified in attacking Israel simply because one of Israel's army's soldiers murdered a US citizen, Rachel Corrie, with a bulldozer. England is justified in attacking Israel because one of its citizens was murdered by an Israeli army sniper.

Let us be consistent, here. Let us not have a policy of making excuses for Israel, while insisting on strict compliance with international laws and treaties by everybody else.

You forgot the section about how Hezbollah has a tendency to randomly hearth rockets into Israel for the reason that quite a lengthy time period before the abducted Israeli infantrymen. you also forgot the section about Hezbollah claiming that Israel has no accurate to exist and desiring Israel's destruction. Oh yeah, and there is the section the position Hezbollah has been firing rockets from fantastically populated factors to charm to Israeli hearth and inflict optimal civilian casualties. Casualties brought about by using using human shields are counted to those who galvanize those casualties, no longer those who do the killing. Hezbollah is responsible for the deaths of 1000's of its own voters. Why do not YOU help stop Hezbollah from murdering Lebanese and Israeli children?

Killing can never be fully justified. However, imagine the Mexican government coming across the border in Arizona and kidnapping two Americana's. And then amassing a militia on the border which fires rockets into the U.S. killing a few hundred people. How would the country feel?

What do you expect Isreal to do,wait for the Hizbullah to bomb it? Today its 2 soldiers, tomorrow its the Isreali civilians. Dont forget the objective of Hizbullah is to wipe out Isreal from the map of the world.Do you expect Hizbullah to wait until they are attacked from all sides by these Jihadi forces. It is not just in/around Isreal that u have these Islamic terrorists waging wars in the name of Islam, you have them wage a war in India against Hindu's,against Russians in Chechynia, agains the Chinese,US,UK..every counrty is under threat from these muslim fundamentalists. Its high time these Muslims are taught a lesson.

Yea. The arabs and jehadis deserve this, and worse.

I am not Israeli, but an Indian, and we have faced the jehadi threat since decades. You have to be in a situation where you dread going out of the house coz you might be killed. Then, you'll understand what prompts Israel to bomb Lebanon so cruelly.

I agree...It just an excuse to invade the other territories...
In fact, Israel started it by kidnapping 2 innocent civilians FIRST...but the news never, never, never mentions that...
