I have a hip injury on my right leg caused by spin kicking a door.

Nothing replaces taking it easy.
its a terrible thing to accept that we are weak and have to take down time
but just take it easy, and dont kill yourself.
use PUSH kick or THRUST kicks for doors,.... just front kicks that have a bit of PUSH in them...
they open pretty much all doors.
I had to kick TWICE, ONCE when I was intoxicated, and not caring about anykind of form or tech...

spinning back kicks are good for doors...
kick near the deadbolt,.. or door handle...

Red is right, you will have to take it easy for a good while.
I have had injuries that took over 6 months to heal(inseam)
Could have been less perhaps but I continued training (not full on)
