No, all submarines today in the Royal Navy are nuclear powered (just as the American Navy) although they do have diesel engines installed onboard to serve as backups in case the nuclear propulsion system is unavailable.

The Royal Navy currently employs 3 types of submarines, a ballistic missle (Vanguard) and two attack types (Astute and Trafalgar).

The last of the diesel-electric boats (upholder class) were removed from service in 1992.

No, they managed to pawn them off to Canada. When we took delivery and made the initial trip across the Atlantic one of them caught fire and almost sank. The other three barely made it.
