Wow, you eat Spam too?! I thought I was the only one...

I go to Maui each year, and they do something great with it. It's called Spam Musubi, and it's basically a sushi roll. They take a piece of Spam and place it ontop of rice and nori *seaweed roll*

Spam Musubi:

5 cups cooked sushi rice, room temperature
5 sheets nori, cut in half lengthwise
1 (12 oz.) can Spam
6 tbsp soy sauce
4 tbsp mirin
4 tbsp sugar
Furikake, to taste
Cut Spam into 10 slices. Fry until slightly crispy. Remove and drain on plate lined with paper towels. In another pan, combine soy sauce, mirin and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to low. Add Spam slices, coating them in the mixture. When mixture has thickened, remove Spam from pan.
Lay a sheet of nori lengthwise on a clean surface. Moisten lower half of musubi maker (see Note), and place on lower third of nori. Fill musubi maker with rice and press flat until the rice is 3/4-inch high. Sprinkle rice with furikake. Top with slice of Spam. Remove musubi maker and keep in a bowl of warm water to keep it clean and moist.

Starting at the end towards you, fold nori over Spam and rice stack, and keep rolling until completely wrapped in the nori. Slightly dampen the end of the nori to seal it. Repeat with the other nine Spam slices, making sure to rinse off musubi maker after each use to prevent it from getting too sticky.

It's always great fried with eggs in the morning.

Cut it up into cubes, fry it up, and place it into Mac & Cheese.

Hawaiian Spam Sandwich:

Ingredients
-1 can SPAM® Classic (12-ounce), cut into 8 slices
-1 can pineapple rings (8-ounce), drained
-4 slices American cheese
-4 hamburger buns, split and toasted

Directions
Brown SPAM® slices in skillet. Place 2 SPAM® slices on each bottom half of hamburger bun. Top with pineapple ring and cheese slice. Cover sandwich with top half of bun.

Spam Stroganoff:

Ingredients
-1 SPAM® Classic (12-ounce) can
-1/2 cup chopped onion
-2 tablespoons butter or margarine
-1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
-1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms drained
-1/8 teaspoon black pepper
-1 cup sour cream
-cooked egg noodles

Directions
Cut SPAM® into strips 2x1/2-inch strips. In large skillet, sauté SPAM® and onion in butter until onion is tender. Stir in soup, mushrooms, and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes. Stir in sour cream. Heat thoroughly but do not boil. Serve over noodles.

Cook some macaroni, make a cheese sauce, dice up the spam and add combine those three things. Then put the whole thing in a casserole dish, top it with breadcrumbs and dot the top with some butter. Bake it at 350 degrees until it's bubbly, about 20 minutes or so (watch it because of the cheese). Good stuff!

For a simpler dish, just make some boxed mac & cheese and stir in some diced spam. No baking, and it's good as well!.

P.S. I've seen on the Food Network that in Hawaii they make nori rolls with julienned spam.

My mom always makes it with pasta:

You chop up some peppers (paprika, not the spicy ones, any color), onion, zuchinni (optional) and any other vegetable. You bake that and cook some pasta at the same time. You put the Spam in the vegetable last and bake it on low. You put some tomatoe sauce in the pan with vegetables. Then you put it together with the pasta, mix well.

try frying them in olive oil till its crispy on the outside but still soft on the inside,

put it in between slabs of toasted white bread and cucumbers.

nice, the heavy oiliness of the spam will be offset by the light cool taste of the sliced cucumber

Frying it up as a breakfast meat is best, in my opinion. It's great when camping, since you don't have to keep it in a cooler or anything and it's readily available when you need it.

My mom used to top it with brown sugar and cloves and bake it in the oven like ham. It was AWESOME!!!

Also chopped up in an omelet is quite good!
