If I mix about 1/4 of a cup full of Grey Goose vodka and about half a cup of Jose Cuervo tequilla (the red cups you drink beer out of), will I get sick? I'm nervous about mixing alcohols due to past mishaps. I don't have any other alcohol to mix with to make a Long Island Iced Tea, I just want to know how sick I may or may not get.

Wow. Get on it . As you may know if you check my q's I just went on a big one. Does Tequilla make you cry or mean, usually its that or passing out. Vodka is real bad about bloating you up too. Have some banana's for after (potasium) to prevent cramps like charlie horses Slam some water when ya get finished so you dont dehydrate. All alkies know to sleep on your stomach in case you puke while your passed out. If you smoke hold the cig between your ring and middle finger (try it, you can totaly relax and it wont fall out) so you dont burn your house down. Enjoy and let me know how it goes. If ya need advice dont hesitate to ask, thats what friends are for.

first of all, there is a major misconception about tequila in a long island. it's not supposed to be in there. you can mix vodka with tequila, but it probably won't taste very good. also, not matter how big the cup, if you use the above measurements you will probably get sick as you are drinking about 10 shots right there in that one drink. mixing alcohol, doesn't usually make you sick, it's how much you drink. each drink made is only supposed to have one ounce at the most of each liquor in it. if you want a good long island, go to the liquor store and buy a long island mix such as barton's or mccormick's. pour 4 ounces in a cup, fill with sour, top with coke. shake and you are good to go. if you want to use each alcohol individually... use a premium vodka, grey goose, or even absolut, bacardi rum, bombay gin, and just a regular triple sec. pour in one ounce of each, fill the cup with sour and top with coke. again shake and you are good.

I don't mean to sound rude. You ever heard of soda, lemonade, tea or even water? Trust me, you can drink any of those out of plastic, glass, with or without a straw. And get this you can also mix them with just about anything and never have to worry about getting sick. There are so many different "safe" drinks with so many varieties of flavors, can't you find one that is not alcohol? I just don't get the big deal with having to drink. I choose smart over liquer. Only my opinion. I hope you get your answer.

Mixing potable alcohols shouldn't matter unless you had a reaction to one of the ingredients in the alcohol. Some people are allergic to gin, for example. But with and hard liquor, it should be sipped and not chugged. Too much of most things will make you sick.

Then don’t mix. I hear some people regret drinking tequila and others. It does not affect me but I drink real tequila not flavored (Jose is part tequila and grain alcohol)

Seriously? lol. Alcohol is Alcohol. The key isn't how you mix it, it's in how much you consume.

mixing is nothing, that famous beer before liquor never been sicker and liquor before beer you're in the clear, is a crock!!! if you are responsible and dont drink to get drunk, its fine to mix.
