I took a trip down there during Spring Break. My parents rented a chartered bus and signed people up to go with us. We drove straight to Puerto and it took about 18 hrs. for us. We stayed there for 4 days, then we went to Guadalajara, stooping on the way in Tequila to the Tequila making factory. then kept driving, it all, without the stop it was about 3 hrs. we took the libre, it was fine. With the stop in Tequila, it took about an hour more. Guadalajara is the 2nd largest city in Mexico, first is Mx City. Have fun, in Puerto we stayed at this all inclusive hotel, drinks also, after a certain time!!!!

The distance between Guadalaja and puerto vallarta is about 300 miles. By a car you get there in aprox four hours. If you have the money, take a plane will be faster and easyer. You ll be ther in 45 minutes.

about a 4 hour drive if you take the toll roads, which you want to because if you take the "libre" you will get stuck behind a truck....dont forget to stop off in tequila on the way!!!!!

It's "Puerto" and I just looked it up on a map. It's about one inch.
