I can buy alcohol legally in Korea, but it's illegal for me in the US. I'm bringing back herbal medicine which I think has to go through customs, but it's in a separate box from my luggage. Can I put alcohol in my luggage or in a water bottle, or will my luggage get checked anyway even if I don't declare anything else? I only plan on bringing back a little bit of soju. And I'll be landing in JFK in ny.

Unless you look blatantly young or you're drinking out the bottle. It's not... suggested, but you can do it. I've been bringing liquor back since I was 14 (Such an alky... :-) The general rule of thumb for me was to put it in my carry-on luggage & most people are so quick to make sure you're not a terrorist that they don't care that you're not 21. Worse thing that can happen is that they confiscate it. Go for it.

if you're interior the country, the rules for alcohol posession and intake prepare depending on the state that you're taking position to be in. you're problem to American rules, no longer Canadian, because it truly is the position you're taking position to be. So enable's say you attempt to purchase alcohol in ny. in accordance to state rules enacted as of 1985, persons less than 21 are prohibited from finding out to purchase or possessing alcohol, or from ingesting alcohol in public. so that you go right into a liquor shop and verify out to get a bottle of Jack Daniels, you're possibly to get carded and refused sale. no matter when you're taking care of to purchase it, in case you get stopped by using police for any reason and view that bottle, you're responsible of Posession of Alcohol less than criminal Age. seeing that in Quebec at 18 you may legally purchase alcohol on the SAQ, why might want to you possibility breaking the regulation in yet another united states of america? only to attend to to get some thing no longer accessible right here in Quebec? only to keep some funds?

Just call a precinct and ask a hypothetical question --lol And they will give you the answer -- if they say its ok you make sure you remember the officer's name who gave you answer -- So you can use it just in case he lied--- or call customs --I hope you succeed --
