She may be feeling guilty about something, or maybe she is just not that into you.
Talk with her about this, it deserves some attention.

I would most definitely take it as a warning of relationship failure. I mean when you care about someone you have a tendency to want to spend more time with them right? not push them away. Though I also must say this...I have heard People say that to their partner if they are contemplating suicide. or want you to think they are. but if this turns out to be the case, seek help for her, but do not let her use the threat of suicide as emotional blackmail against you. To keep you in the relationship out of guilt.

it means she needs some time to get over past issues without hurting you and putting your feelings in the way. She doesn't want to repeat the bad that has happened to her to you, because she cares about you, give her , her space and be her friend which is what she probably needs right now

I don't really know because this is quite confusing and I understand how you should be confused. I think what she is trying to say is that she does not want to be with you, but she still would like to be friends.

Think!!! do u love her? do u want to be with her? if so smarten the hell up and don't be scared to hurt her because ur not going to leave her...... BUT if u don't love her and u don't want to be with her then just dump her before u do hurt her....
TRUST ME NO GIRL WANT'S TO BE HURT BY THE MAN SHE REALLY LOVES..... it's happend to me before....

I think she wants to date other people and can't come out and tell you cause she wants to keep you, too. She wants you AND everyone else.
