I have asked several questions here today.
I thank all of you for answering.

Now some of you claim to be christian and believe that he earth is 6000 year sold, and some of you are christian and say it is not.

Some of you claim to take the biblical texts literally, and some of you say that they dont need to be taken literally.

Now how are we supposed to believe anything you are about when you do not know what you are about?

I also learnt from TV that christians eat the flesh of Jesus and drink his blood in church.

What does that make them? Cannibals?

I dont know christianity but I agree with you. There are too many things in matters of faith that are not clarified and it does confuse people.

How can the world be only 6000 years old when there is evidence in the dinosaur finds that prove that the world is much older than 6000 years? Other species did live on this earth.

There are many different denominations within Christianity most of them focusing on different aspects of the Bible. That is why there are very conservative Christians, such as old order Mennonites, and more liberal Christians. The base truth that we all lean on is that Jesus Christ died on a cross or our sins and rose again. Just because we see things a little differently doesn't mean we are totally unbelievable, it just means that you should research these things yourself, find your own answers. I will respect you more for doing that than I will for your taking things just as they are told to you. I am a Christian by choice because of what I have learned in my life. If you chose something different that is fine, I will respect that decision. We are given choice, "free will", and if my God gives you that choice who am I to tell you that you're wrong? I have friends who are Jewish, very conservative Christians, liberal Brothern, ...etc. I respect them all. I can't say that I am 100% right, so why force my beliefs on someone else. Now if they ask what I believe and why I will share that with them, but I won't force them to believe what I do. People have to read, research, and discover the truth for themselves.

I believe that the problem is that in this country some people have the weird idea of reading the Bible and interpret it by themselves, without any autorized help. That makes no sense. It would be like reading a book of Medicine and trying to cure somebody just by reading that book. I don't know whether that makes sense to you, but to me is madness.
To interpret the Bible you need a lot of study. The interpretation of the Bible receives a specific name, which I don't know in english.
Try the Catholic Bible that has at the bottom of each page an explanation of the text

In my opinion the text of the bible. Was put here for people to take and use as guidelines for the betterment of the human race.Unfortunately tho, People have inside them a thought process. This process perceives what one thinks the answers to questions should be.But no two people agree on what they think the answers are completely. There tends to be differences in the way things are absorbed in your mind compared to others.According to how you leaned as you were growing up as a child. And the methods used. This can change as life goes on. It's the messages of peace and caring that it's meant to portray to you.But alas their are always extremist individuals in all religions. That's where the problems begin and sorrowfully tend to fester and take all the good in there and turn it to bad.this topic could go on for millenniums to come. This is just my thoughts and opinions on this.Have a great day!! Even non-religious people can't agree 100% on everything. Look at the different denominations in Christianity, Islam & Judaism. A person has to find their own path so to speak and respect that others may have different ideas. Unfortunately, this doesn't happen and therefore you have hatred and wars.........it's not worth it.

Who cares? John 3:16. No need to get wrapped up in this little stuff that will not matter in the end. Do you think God is going to care how old we all thought the world was? Uh, NO.

Your first mistake is this. You don't put your eyes on a person for Truth.

You keep your eyes on Christ. Now, When God Himself, tells everyone to seek the truth through the scriptures, why are you on here looking for answers?

Your not seeking truth according to God Himself. duh?
