To me, the message of religion only provides me with ways to worship my deities and to get to worship with folks of a like mind. But I agree that it is sad that folks fight so much over it. It's important to remember that not all religious folks are that way. There are many of us (religious and non-religious) who go about our day living our faith and being considerate of others. Not all religious people feel that their way is the one and only way or want to get into contests to see if my god is bigger than your god. Just because some religious people feel that way doesn't mean that we are all that way. There are tolerant religions out there who teach their followers to respect others.

"is it easy to see how the world is filled with hate , when supposedly religious people on a small platform such as yahoo cant get along with hatred and fighting .. this just amazes me that so called religious people speak with such hatred for each other"

Your sentence needs some reconstruction and has other grammar errors in it. I'm not an expert, but I will try to help you- in a Chirstian way.
You are starting this incredibly long sentence with a lower case letter. Work on that.
Here's what my Microsoft Word Grammar check did with your sentence:
Is it easy to see how the world is filled with hate, when supposedly religious people on a small platform such as yahoo can't get along with hatred and fighting. This just amazes me that so called religious people speak with such hatred for each other.

You see? That was better!

Now for the next part:
So they believe in different books so what, is not the ultimate message in each religion about peace and harmony and tolerance?

You see? Much, much better! :)

In answer to your question, the message of Christianity as far as I know, is to die to yourself and serve Christ. Be loving, not necessarily tolerant; there is a spiritual war going on after all, and the peace and harmony is from God; whom you have access to because of Jesus Christ.

There will be disagreement, and you cannot depend on a world full of sinners to behave themselves! I would aspire to be a peaceful person, yet I am also a sinner and a Christian! So don't expect much out of anyone, trust Christ; He makes you saved.

u are rite that alot of people answer but u must have noticed also that most of them just say bull shits. i mean there is not head and tail for what they say. they just say without thinking and any back up reasons.
only few serious people take the questions seriously and reply accordingly. by the way check majority of Muslims do not give bigoted statements. Muslims really have very open hearts n minds. do not look on few of the muslims who are extremist. every religion does have such people.

i want to say here that if any one of you get some point convincing or they feel like impressed, he or she should definitely show their appreciation with open heart. no one is seeing u here and no one is going to tell to your freinds or relatives that u have agreed to something from a different religion or culture.

Yahoo exposes the inner feelings, being able to afford anonymity ! The instincts of self-preservation keeps most people under check, knowing the consequences of open conflict, for holding their personal beliefs and thrusting it upon others. A few do have courage to act , driven by the persuasion of yet others who see that their safety is only in multiplicity of followers !
Very few are really keen to see what religion is all about !

We are not to give offence to anyone; neither to the Jew, nor to the Gentile, nor to the church of God (1 Cor.10:32 below).

These three encompass all of humanity.

1 Cor.10:32Give NONE offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God.

The problem is that everybody thinks that they are right and others must conform to their way of thinking. Even you.
