It is great!
One thing to remember, though, is that iron play and short game are where you score.
But, isn't it fun to hit it long!

That's great. I've played golf for over 30 years and maybe hit a 275 drive once in all that time. ( I averaged about 230 yards when I played regularly ) Nowadays it's more like 180-190.

I'm 27, 5'8", 150 Lbs. and have been playing for 10 years. Until I got my new Taylormade 540xd, I was only hitting 200 on my drives. Now I can hit 250 consistently and 275 if it's perfect. I have hit 300 when I get a favorable bounce and roll.
But to answer your question, yeah, that's good. Damn good. I would change my answer to awesome if they were all straight.

That depends on several factors
1. How often does the ball go 275
2. How many times does it stay in the fairway
3. How bad are the miss hit drives
4. On the golf course or driving range?
5. Can you do it when it counts.
Worst case - You have the ability to hit the ball solid so if you wanted to spend some time working on your skills in a couple years you could be a good player.

Just keep playing and work on your game.I wish I had started at your age, instead of 50.Your playing the greatest game and for life,Keep it up,take some lessons and play regularly.
