Depends what you mean. Soul lives on. Body dies. If you believe in reincarnation, you get another body. If you don't believe in reincarnation, your soul moves on. Where? I don't remember.

After death, the body core temperature cools. Cooling depends on a number of external factors including the environment and clothing. Furthermore, rigor mortis begins prior to decomposition. During this process, the muscles gradually become hard due to decreased ATP and lactic acidosis within muscle fibrils. This usually begins 2-4 hours after death, though the process may begin earlier. After 9-12 hours, or in a warm enough climate, these effects may disappear.

Another post mortem reaction includes livor mortis, which begins at the moment of death. During livor mortis, the body becomes distended and skin colour progressively changes from green to purple and finally to black. The dependent areas of the body undergo this process first due to the pooling of blood, and this is usually seen within 2 hours of death, with the process of livor mortis reaching its maximum at 8-12 hours.

very clinical huh? ...lol

From a scientific standpoint energy never dies but is recycled. People who have had near death experiences or died and were resuscitated, sometimes believe that they have glimpsed an afterlife. -Research has shown that these experiences could be attributed to neurophysiological processes triggered by trauma. Maybe someday science will be able to reveal if life after death exists until then it is still a matter of faith.

technically no one knows. because nobody came back from death and gave a testimony about what happened after he or she died... and thats scary. its an uncertainty that death holds - that makes death scary too.
if they say that you'll go to heaven or hell - its the religion that says it - for us to do something good because of the reward that is heaven. what about reincarnation? it is also being suggested by the religion too...
a religion that is founded by a human being too...

too skeptical? =)

I believe that what happens after death is whatever we think will happen. We create our lives here by our thoughts and so we create our next life by our thoughts. We are eternal. I do not believe its one life here, then either heaven or hell. That's hogwash, illogical, and an impossibility if God is Love, which He/She/It/Us Is/Are

If you expect to go to hell, you will---til you don't want it anymore
If you expect to go to heaven, you will---til it bores you and you don't want it
If you expect to come back here, you will--til you go somewhere else again

It is all up to us. God loves us and gave us FREE WILL

Blessings and know that we are all ONE

well if your a Christan then you will go to heaven with eternal life of love and happiness, if your not a Christan then you spend eternal life in hell with hate and pain and evil people who care nothing about you. if you need to ask this question then maybe you should consider getting saved and becoming a Christan.. its simple follow a few simple rules... why take the chance of going to hell? it doesn't make any sense to me why people cant follow the few rules that god set down to us.

If you mean in the world, things go on like always.
Concerning yourself, have you ever had a totally dreamless night of sleep?
That's it, except it goes on forever.
So, better enjoy your life while you have it.
