When i turn my computer on, my Commit Charge (k)/ Virtual memory/PF Usage which ever one it is, is constantly increasing until it fills. My computer told me i was low on Virtual memory yesterday so i increased it to its max at about 3 gigs and I woke up this morning and i couldnt get any thing to work because the memory was full. Does anyone know how to solve this problem, thanks in advance.

I would run a virus/spyware check immediately.

This isn't normal computer operation.

Also, recall if you installed anything recently that could cause this issue. The program might be a culprit. (To check to see what's using the most memory, look at the Processes tab in Task Manager - you obviously know how to use this already - and sort by memory, if you go to View > Select Columns you can add the Virtual Memory Column as well)

Try

o Ctrl-Alt-Del and go into the Task Manager
o Click processes
o Click the "Mem Usage" header so that it arrangesthe processes according to memory usage (highest at top)
o If you see one constantly climbing (not just climbing then dropping then climbing etc) then it has a memory leak

WARNING: The following steps may freeze you system. Stopping processes can cause system instability (it will warn you). This does NOT mean that your system will be damaged (most of the time) but it may crash and have to be rebooted, but at least you can see which process it is and ask the developer if they have a fix for it

o Right click the process which is climbing and choose "End Process Tree"
o This is stopping a process that has a "memory leak"
o If possible uninstall the program and install again, or don't either is good!

The problem may be due to lot of background services due to the software that you might have installed. Try the following steps.

1. Click Start >> Run.
2. Type MSCONFIG and press OK.
You will see a screen which will say System Configuration utility.
3. Click on the option Selective Startup under General Tab.
4. Uncheck the option below it " Load Startup items".
5. Click on Apply.
6. Restart the PC.
See if the issue is resolved or not.
If the issue persists, then try running an AntiSpyware and an AntiVirus utility both. I believe that you know AntiSpware is different from AntiVirus.

In addition to what was already mentoined, you might also delete internet files. In your webrowser if you're using IE, go to tools, internet options, delete files.

empty your trash, any documents you don't need, any downloaded files that you don't, pretty delete anything you don't need then empty your trash again, I hope this helps you, if not you can buy another memory drive and install it.
