There have been two moron churches since its founder died. One sect believes that the priesthood is passed down only through blood relatives, the other (larger, more wealthy, more prominent) belives that it is passed down as a covenant. So, yes there is already a division. Now the question about factionalism between liberal mormons and conservative mormons. Yes I think it really took off about 10 years ago. The elders chose to take the priesthood guidance out of the young mens books. You have to ask yourself why? My guess is that they dont want the "pure" pool of priests diluted or exposed to the outside world. Before being baptized I had a dream that there would be a fourth hour (mormons break their worship into 3 hours) and the fourth hour would be teaching those who are not as pure i.e. a way for the church to be more inclusive, get more money, have a bigger following, without breaking covenants. It has to happen, the priesthood has to break from the rest of the congregation to maintain its legitmacy.

I'm not sure what you mean by the right and left? Are you talking about politics? If so no, the Mormon Church does not tell their people how to vote or what to follow politically because it is a world wide church and all nations have different political processes. They do have a few issues they do have as church doctrine. As a church they believe that abortion is wrong except in the case of the mothers health, rape or incest. At those times they feel that the woman must decide for herself. They also do not approve of alternate life styles. They believe that being gay is wrong as stated in the Bible. They also do not approve of gambling because it is addictive and most people only loose money. They feel it increases the burden on society when gambling is legal (and this has been shown to be true in most states that have it).

If you are talking about fundamental Mormons (FLDS) and the mainstream Mormons (LDS) then yes there is a division. As they are different religions. Much like Catholics and the Church of England (Episcopalians).

Their testimony may be stumbled on interior the front of the e book of Mormon. Others also testified to seeing the gold plates and the angel Moroni. besides the actuality that many interior the Christian international are detest to settle for further scripture, many do believe that the e book of Mormon is actual scripture written by using historic prophets. about 0.5 of the guy club of the LDS church are converts from different church homes. Like I stated before, one has to study it to believe it. We invite people to study the e book of Mormon, and then ask God even if that is genuine. God will answer the honest prayer.

Most Mormons have moved away from the initial polygamist views that the Mormon church embraced. The Church now is openly against it and considers it a sin. However there are still traditionalist Mormons who secretly hold these views. These Mormons are not accepted by the Church and are not considered true believers.
