Yes it is. It truly is. Religion, gets its power by destroying hope and trying to rebuild hope by promising salvation of some sort. People blindly find a book, whether it be the bible or the koran, that was written by a man and will gladly kill for it. How can any religion condone the killing of others in its own name. Religion is a dangerous tool used by very powerful men and it will truly be the ruin of our civilization. If there is a god, why would he or she allow all of this nonsense be carried out in their name.

YES;
The devil is not a little red demon with a pitch fork but a religious spirit expressed in religious orders and organizations.of all belief systems including organized Christianity.

The true church is an organism made up of souls; who may or may not be part of any organization claiming the name of Christ or any other world religious order.

Religions are among the kingdoms of this world which were offered to Christ in His temptation. He was last taken to the temple (the high point of world religion) and offered religions, governments, social orders, traditions, business, music, entertainment, finance and all the works of Satans Eden.

Why should I have to say this!! Look at the news. It is one force pitted against another. Islam claims that the promise of God to Abraham was passed to them through Ishmael. The Hebrew scriptures, accepted by most Christians, claim the promise came through Issac. BOTH CANNOT BE RIGHT. This is why they both claim the Holy Land

Like any real estate salesmen will tell you it is: LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.

The battle is between good and evil; but the front of that battle always has been religion and religious conflict. One could argue there is not much civilization left to destroy; unless you count asphalt, concrete, plastic cards and cyberspace as civilization.

civilization go through changes, they disintegrate but never destroyed actually. The values of civilization remains in various forms in the new civilizations. Religious conflicts always has been a major force behind changes in civilizations. That is going to stay for a while, i think.

It is not religion that is going to destroy civilization, it will be the evil in the hearts of these people who use religion as an excuse. All religions I ever heard about teach love, peace, and unity. What these hypocrites are doing is hiding behind religion to do their evil deeds.

The battle between law abiding citizens of the world and the Muslim extremists will continue to spiral out of control on many fronts. Security is going to take center stage as the new post 9/11 motivation turns into a New World Order.

This will bring about a cashless society as buying and selling will be united with worldwide security needs. This will usher in a system where everyone will be required (voluntarily at first) to receive an identifying mark to be used wherever they go and whatever they do. This will all be in the name of making the world a safer place and it will be received with open arms by everyone who doesn't want to be “left out” and identified as a terrorist. Most people who are worried about the Biblical "Mark of the Beast" will have dismissed the Bible as a fairy tale.

It will all seem to make sense and bring about a more secure environment. Soon after, a world leader arises, who will sign a peace treaty with Israel and the nations surrounding it. He will solve the greatest problem facing mankind, offering some kind of solution between Israel and the Muslims. It will involve Israel being able to rebuild their temple and start doing animal sacrifices again.

After the peace treaty is signed, the world will appear to be ushering in a great time of peace. Mankind will start to accomplish things only dreamed of. There will still be natural disasters and famine and poverty around the world, but everything will seem to be getting better.

After three and one half years, during a grand opening ceremony for the new Temple, broadcast on live TV, the world leader will tell the Jews to stop sacrificing animals and he will declare himself to be their long awaited messiah. He will require that everyone has the mark and he will use it to control everyone.

Immediately the Jews will have their eyes opened and will recognize that Jesus was really their messiah all along. They will hear and obey his words from Matthew 24. "So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation,' spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.

These words are the first words the Jews will hear from their messiah. While true Israel obeys Christ and flees their homeland, God brings the nations of the world against the world leader in a battle called Armageddon. They think they are gathering to finally kill the nation of Israel, but God is really turning them against the world leader, because he has warned his people to flee.

Mankind will be set to destroy themselves when they meet in war in the Plains of Megiddo. They only thing that stops them from killing each other is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to the earth. The leaders of the world will even turn the weapons of mass destruction up to the sky to try and kill Jesus and his armies as they arrive. But Christ will destroy every nation that was against Israel. He will throw the world leader into the Lake of Fire and he will chain up the devil for 1000 years.

For 1000 years Christ will physically reign on the earth as its rightful King. At the end of the 1000 years, the devil will be loosed for a short time, to test the mortals upon the earth, to see if they decide for Christ or not. God will crush this FINAL rebellion and God will throw the devil in the Lake of Fire. Then God will bring back to life every person who ever lived that didn’t have faith in God enough to accept God’s only plan of salvation for all men, the Jewish Messiah. They will be judged at the Great White Throne. They will be judged by what they did. If their names are not in the Book of Life, they will be cast alive into the Lake of Fire. There they will be shut out from God’s presence forever.

God will remake the heavens and the earth. There will finally be real peace. Every person will be there because they chose to be there. Every person who is there will love and serve God forever and ever.

Believe it or not this is just a brief summary. There are many more details that would take much more time to discuss.

Yes. unless the three desert religions( Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) get in their heads that their religions aren't "the one true religion", and except that they're just one among many religions. Christianity also needs to stop trying to convert everyone, not everyone wants to xian. All three need to learn to respect other faiths. Until that happens they just may destroy the world.

Civilization is pretty resilient. Wars of religion have been going on forever. My God is not only better than your God, He is the only God. What a bunch of hogwash. Nothing wrong with religion per se. The problem is the extremes.
