god could have done that but he gave us our own free will. we could ethier do the right thing or the wrong one. the devil always tries to pull us away from god but if you belive in god,tuly, his love will help you. this reminds me of one of my favorite poems,
Robert Frost (1874–1963). Mountain Interval. 1920.

1. The Road Not Taken

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

that poem affected me so much since the first time i heard it! i hope that it does the same to you!

He does influence you without you even realizing it. Read the book of Exodus for information on how God influence Pharaoh without Pharaoh's knowledge, permission or even being aware of it.

As far as this response to your earlier post about being saved, no one is greater than God. But He does not save those who deny Him. Accept the fact that you are in need of Him, believe that Jesus is truly God and show your conviction by publicly stating that you are a follower. Not just a believer. Satan believes, but would never follow Christ.

What sort of influence do you expect from Him? Ok , let me ask God then so you won't be food less for a month and influence you to eat. If you survive will you agree then that God triumphs over your smart a**s?

Who is to say what influences are from god? When you feel remorse over bad deeds, is god telling you that you have done wrong, is your brain telling you that you have done god wrong, or are you thinking you have done humanity, and therefor yourself wrong? Maybe you have no remorse, a sociopath .. are you then evil? Do you really look for spiritual guidance on yahoo, or are you just stirring the pot?

Yes, God is capable of influencing you. God however has chosen to limit God's self thereby allowing you to act with free will.

No... A stubborn soul is not greater than God. A stubborn soul that refuses to listen...is a fool.

Is it important to you to be "greater than" someone's god? Why?
