Your gum bleeds as you have some sort of gum disease, most likely gingivitis/inflamed gums.

The most likely cause of this is poor oral hygiene as a result of an incorrect brushing/flossing technique, or lack of brushing/flossing.

You need to brush and floss correctly to remove the bugs that reside around your teeth and beside your gums that cause gum disease. Brushing also removes any food particles that if left inside the mouth, will act as a source of nutrient for the bugs.

Your best solution is;
1. See a dental hygienist for a cleaning session, followed by the use of a mouth wash that contains the active ingredient; chlorhexidine gluconate. (Depending on where you live, this can be obtained at the local stores.)

2. Ask your hygienist or dentist about the correct brushing technique.

3. Floss. I cannot stress the importance of flossing more.

Check with your dentist, you might be having gingivitis, an infection of the gums. You might need anibiotics. But even after it is cured, you should massage your gums properly several times a day and use a good antiseptic mouth wash atleast before going to bed.

i have had the same problem off and on. i asked my dentist too and he said that being stressed is probably whats causing it. (i am a phd student). so what i do, is make sure that i'm taking my vitamins and eating well. also, try to floss regularly and dont brush your teeth so hard, but make sure to gently massage your gums .
i got a crest spin brush (like $7 at a drug store), and that has really helped. i think that it cleans and massages the gums without doing it as rough as with a regular toothbrush.

You could have something wrong so you're first step is to see a Dentist. Long-term, start flossing at least once a day. It builds up your gums so they are much stronger and resistent to bleeding, plus it reduces the presence of bad stuff that can cause gum disease.

Gingiva (inflammation like gingivitis)might be fragile or you are using very hard bristle. Vitamin C deficiency is the most common cause of the bleeding gums if you rule out the above causes

That is usually a sign of poor dental hygiene. If you start flossing every day and brush at least 2 times a day the gums will improve and not bleed.

that is because your gum is unhealthy.healthy gum should bleed when you brushes teeth.or maybe you brushes too hard.my advice is to go to a dentist.no matter its gum problem or the way you brushes teeth.gum problem can seek medical help.and the dentist can also teach you to brush teeth correctly(:take care of your teeth and gum.eat more vegetables.

Most likely because you don't floss at least once a day. Start doing so and you will notice an improvement within a few days.
