would i get locked up here if i did something wrong on the other universe?

You're right!! There is parallel universe out there. However, it's not that easy to go there... it's even more difficult to return (if, by any means you still could return...)

There has been a lot of talk about a thing called String Theory and a parallel universe check it out its very interesting .. Also very good question its a breath of fresh air .. Good luck

A parallel universe would have a parallel you,that would be slightly,or greatly different from your own existence,depeding on how far removed their universe is from yours.

Yes there is a lot of things like environment system, there were an animal like the elephant it was big and huge but people who contemporary with him kill him a lot then he die out.
10,000 thousand year passed and no imprint to him and no body saw him then the elephant appear...so this is a parallel for environment.

Perhaps you would get locked up if you DIDN'T do something bad, like that Star Trek episode with Spock wearing a beard.

Theoritically we can reach the other side before death only if we raise our inner powers to a level where we can ignore our body. This is done through meditation, fasting, and guidance by a prophet.

Not as far as is currently known. There are probably more dimensions than we perceive as suggested by "String Theory", but they would probably not be classifiable as parallel.
