Based on my previous question ( http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AojzmQ8GK84LXBGYAdZ0M.Hzy6IX?qid=20060722073738AARHBrS ), some of the answerers response was "you should not condemn anyone". So why are thieves still condemned? Why do Christian fundamentalists continue to condemn homosexuals?

Thieves are criminals and it's clear that criminal behaviour is to be condemned, but homosexuals are not criminals and they do not harm or inconvenience anybody...

Homosexuals are wrongly condemned, they have been heavily wronged by those religions that have roots in the middle-east...that's Islam, Judaism and Christianity.

All these religions are based on superstitious nonsense, division and agression and the world is coming to realise this is so with the religious fighting we are all witness to these days, shame on them all.

Ampresearch@......

You're a Pastor. You've already stated that you "think homosexuality is wrong".

How do you feel when someone says to you, "religion is wrong"?
Doesn't it stir something in you? Like DEFENSE? You want to defend your religion when confronted with statements like this, which is totally understandable because you feel like you're being 'condemned' to a certain degree.

When you, as a Pastor, say, "I feel homosexuality is wrong", the homosexual feels condemned on top of already being condemned by society as a whole.

Therefore, you DO judge and condemn by your words.

There are millions of gay and lesbian people in America alone.
If you ask any number of them WHY they are homosexual, 99.9% will tell you they were born that way.

So, you think all these gays and lesbians are LYING about being born that way?
...that they just 'decided' to be homosexual because the world treats them so wonderfully?
I think not.

When you finally get it through your head that homosexuals are born that way and it cannot be 'changed' (why should it be), you will continue to spew your bigotry by your words.

You are very influential to many, many people who will believe what you tell them without question.

Look in the mirror. Put yourself in the gay person's shoes, then listen to your words and realize that you are promoting bigotry in the name of Jesus Christ.

I pray that you will see differently and make a decision to promote love instead of fear.

YOUR STATEMENT copied / pasted:

I personally feel that homosexuality is wrong however I agree that God did not place us here to hate.

If you believe in Gods word then God saw that man was alone and created a woman from his rib, a part of him, yet apart from him.She was named woman and Eve, not Fred, that goes against the natural order of things and it's written as a sexual sin and to stay away from it. A church that allows it openly then does not follow Gods new testament as it was written Christians are not to follow.** What that is saying is that if all of those listed do not turn away from it and accept Christ then the condemnation. These were those that heard the word and would not relent of their sins listed and in the church.Paul's letter was in response to God's laws and church divisions,*after all this was one of the first churches left to care for themselves. He also says in 4:5, not to prejudge others and let the Lord see into their secrets.

As a Christian Pastor I condemn no one.
It may be that their actions are against the word of God but in that case they will be judged by God.
It is not the job of anyone to judge another for their actions and beliefs.
As a Pastor it is strictly my job to share the word of God with those that ask or seek Him.
It is the job of the Holy Spirit to convict them and up to God to Judge them.
Since I believe that God is more qualified to place judgment I don't.

Because they do not believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior from all their sins.
Jesus Christ is the Only Way to Heaven!

In The Holy Bible in John14:6 “Jesus saith unto, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” He meant: I am the only way to get to God the Father and to heaven. I am the only truth you need to know to get to God the Father and to heaven. I am the only spiritual life available to mankind. In other words, I am the only true and living God. All other so-called gods are false gods. They are not real. They do not exist. They are Satan or his demons appearing to be gods. No other so-called god has any power to forgive, remove and cleanse men from all their sins and get them to God the Father and to heaven.
The Holy Bible in Hebrews 11:6 says “But without faith it is impossible to please him (God); for he that cometh to God must believe (have faith) that he (God) is, and that he (God) is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (God).” Parentheses mine!
I pray you will believe all of this and, by faith, accept the fact that you are a sinner needing to be saved from all your sins and that the blood Jesus Christ shed for you at Calvary is the only way you can have all your sins forgiven, removed and cleansed and the only way you can get to God the Father and to heaven. I pray you will, by faith, acknowledge all of this and ask Jesus Christ to forgive, remove and cleanse you from all your sins and accept Him into your heart and life to live for Him the rest of your life. I pray you will, by faith, turn from all your sins and receive Jesus Christ into your life/heart today, without delay. Do that today.
