I have a 16mo old... When he was 8months old I feed him a bottle (anywhere from 6-8oz) and a jar of baby food... i think at that time, he was eating the number 3 foods. He is a big boy, dont get me wrong. he is not fat by anymeans... but he has a bigger body build, and a lot taller than most 16mo olds. Any doctor will tell you to feed him a certain amount of food. I wouldnt worry about them. In germany, the doctors tell you to feed your baby as much as they want, they will know when they are full. Doctors in the US only say that, because they are afraid of obesity. People in germany dont have that problem. Now, Lane is a healthy little boy, and eats 3 times a day. When he was about 11 months old or so, I took the bottle away from him, and he used just a sippy cup, and by then I had him on a 3 time a day eating schedule, he still got "snacks" at 3, and dinner at 5 or 6. Now he eats 3 times a day, without a snack, and drinks water, or juice with every meal... i ususally dont give him a lot of milk, he doesnt really care for it.

Try some crushed bananas, seedless grapes crushed or any other soft fruit which the baby can swallow easily.
