definitely curly because you can do a whole lot with curly hair - heck you can even wear it straight as can be one day if you use a straightening iron and curly the next
plus curls are a whole lot easier to take care of!

when I was young, in the late 1950's,at about 12, to about 15/16 years old, I had a head of very curly hair when straight hair was it.
I went anywhere promising a better, more stylish hair cut.
All B.S.- nothing worked. So I grit my teeth, smiled like I couldn't give a s--t, and lived with it.
Than, suddenly,came the sixties, the "Peace Generation"and almost overnight, longer naturally curly hair and bell bottom's were hip, and I had both. Man, was I in.
Than, hip was out and the blow dryer was in. And naturally curly/ wavy hair blows out great.
So than, at about 25, hair dryer in hand, half an hour later, I had a great head of hair and I was really in. (that's a joke)
Hair wise, I've experienced I could pretty much do anything I choose to with it.
Luckily, and best of all, it's greyer,but I still have it.
Todays hair styles let's you do or wear your hair anyway you choose too.
Curly hair is easily straightened and straight hair can be made to curl.
Another advantage I've found concerns hair loss.
Curly hair seems to stay with you longer.
Straight hair, strictly by my observation, in both men and women seems to thin out sooner.
In answer to your question, in my experience, I guess I'd definitely say curly hair.

I like hair so short that you can't tell if it's curly or straight.
