I think a small family is better because in today's hectic, on the run society parents today simply don't have the time, money or resources to devote to a large family. I believe you should not have a family larger than you can adequately take care of in every way. If you are able to afford the luxury of being able to provide (emotionally, physically, spiritually) then havr as many kids as you can take care of! Being a parent is the most important thing you can do, and you don't want anyone to suffer because you did not plan correctly.

ideally i would like a large family. i just enjoy all the possible dynamics of a large family, none of the kids would ever be bored, parents too! when mom and dad pass on the kids will always have eachother. most likely all siblings will have a brother and sister and holidays and birthdays would feel so warm and homey!! the downside though is that the parents must have the financial means to care for all these kids and still find a way to have intimacy without the kids. that would be hard. unfortunately for me i do not have the patience to have a large family. i have 2 kids and i think i am done!

I lean towards a large family, although I only have three children. Certainly the most important thing is love... no matter how many children you have. While money makes providing for any family easier, it's important to remember it can't buy love. Too many people are in a rush to give their children things and forget to give their time and love. Which reminds me, I should get off this computer, and go play with my kids!

neither is better then the other, its a matter of what you and your spouse can offer. the love in your heart and money in your bank should determine the size of your family. i personally have five kids and i have the love for 20 more kids but i not only would not be able to give each the quality of time they each need and although i am comfortable finacially ( to some degree) the children would miss out on many things becuase money just doesnt go as far.......... although with a large family you have better odds of raising the next bill gates lmao but non the less only you and your spouse can determine somthing of that magnitude based on what your situation dictates but please be a parent not just allow someone else to raise your kids.

Small families are easier to feed and provide for,but larger families create a more demanding social group to interact with. It is now less possible for people to have a lot of children, because so many couples find they need two incomes.

I think a small intermediate family is better than a large intermediate family, I mean theres just alot of arguing with a houseful of people. However I think overall, its great to have such a large family, nice support system. :o)

Small family is better because in this world of competition you won't be able to give full justice to large family. Someone has said small is beautiful.

It depends on the situation really. If you can provide for a big family then I would say yes. Growing up as an only child I longed for siblings.

But I think that some people would disagree on having many siblings. It really depends on the situation.

My husband and I have one child,a daughter. We were able to provide for her in every way,she is not spoiled but she has had every thing she needed to make a wonderful life for herself.she is now grown and married to another only child, they are happy and sucessful. She had a job from the age of 14 she worked hard, she won a full ride scholorship to a private ivy leauge college. Yes we could have "afforded " another child but we are very pleased with our one child. If you can take care of your childrens needs ,ie food, medical care, housing in a decent neighborhood, education, and emotional needs then by all means have all the children you want . I for one do not wish to pay for children that you cant take care of but keep on producing. This is by no means an assult on the poor, its to anyone that doesnt take responsbility for their actions....sperm donors that run away (real daddys dont desert their children),bfs that abuse, women that have a child to trap or keep a man......etc.

both families a small & a large has its advantages & disadvantages:
in a large family , lots of compromises & adjustments are needed , one has to cope up with moods & tantrums of many people, but in a large family one learns to be responsible , diciplines & work in unison.
In a small family, you can do watever you want , live your kind of life & be independant, but in small families you have to do everything youself, all jobs to be done alone, you become selfish, & indisciplined.
So it all depends what you exactly want in life
