Yes it is. And, not only to think but to know him according to Jesus himself. (John 17:3) Thinking upon LORD's name--which is Jehovah, according to Exodus 6:3, KJ--means more than that. It involves adjusting our lives to his laws according to chapter 3 of Malachi, and deeply having a personal relationship w/ him.

Have a blessed day!

I say yes. If you think upon the name of the Lord often, it may help you stay on the righteous path that God has intended you to stay on. Thinking on the Lord's name keeps negative and un-productive thoughts from taking fruition into your life and soul.

I didn't know that THE lord had a name. But if you believe in a being that is infinitely, good, sapient, omnipresent, etc, and try to thikk like that, I am afraida that you will fail. All you will avhieve is to think the way you would like himto think ... and perhaps feel better than the rest because of it.

The problem is many confuse the 'title' Lord,or God as a name. These are only titles.God's name is Jehovah. He is the Almighty God.
Jesus Christ is his only begotten Son.Again many confuse Jesus as being 'The Lord'.
So unless you put a name to the title, you could be talking about anyone.

Fear of displeasing him so they knew his laws and commandments. They tried to be obedient and God saw that and a book of remembrance was written about them.
Where the fear comes in. We are living in the last days of this wicked system of things. Soon the wicked will be destroyed and the righteous usshered into a paradise earth.

His name is in the Bible, so why not?
" You shall not cut your body for the dead, nor shall you tatoo yourself. I am Yahweh." Leviticus 19:28

Depends what you're thinking on. If you're thinking on killing all people of any race, then no, it is not good. If you're thinking about nice stuff, like curing cancer, then sure.
