the answers on here are great, but if you mix it like these people said, you are going to spend about $30 or $40 at the store. here is a simpler way...
1 - 1 1/2 oz gin (this is depending on how fast you want to get drunk)
fill half of the glass with sour mix and half with soda water. garnish with a lemon. if you want it to be a little sweet as you are not adding simple syrup which can become expensive, then add tonic water or sprite instead of soda water.

Scale ingredients to servings
2 oz gin
1 oz lemon juice
1 tsp superfine sugar
3 oz club soda
1 maraschino cherry
1 slice orange




In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, lemon juice, and sugar. Shake well. Strain into a collins glass almost filled with ice cubes. Add the club soda. Stir and garnish with the cherry and the orange slice.

In shaker add ice then 1 1/2 to2 1/2 shots of gin then add sour mix and sugar water and a splash of club soda and then shake vigoursly until shaker starts to frost onoutside of shaker,strain over ice then add a little cherry juice and a cherry and enjoy.

easy recipe...Gin, sour mix (like margarita mix) or collins mix, top off with spash of club soda and garnish with a cherry or flag (cherry and orange)

about 1/4 cup gin..1/2 glass club soda....tablespoon suger.....some maraschino cherries and a orange slice.good stuff
